As of right now, not a single scene has been shot for the series. What can be mentioned is that some cast members were hired for the project, but none of those actors have been announced officially, as of yet, except for Adrienne King.We have learned recently that filming for the series is now targeting a Summer 2024 start which should then kick off a slew of updates pertaining to the events surrounding Crystal Lake. The filming schedule was indeed delayed past March due to the strikes as well as other circumstances that look like they have been resolved. Like I just immediately assumed that it would be set in the 80ās because, you know, itās Friday the 13th but what if the show is set up where Alice didnāt die in Part 2 but lived all the way until 2024 and then thereās a new group of counselors or relatives of Jasonās victims or whatever trying to figure out whatās going on and then they find her.* That could be cool as long as the time is split pretty 50/50 between the 80ās retelling of the Friday lore and the modern day stuff that would presumably involve adult Jason.* So yeah, itās fun to look into what character sheās going to play but I might just be putting a lot of importance on her since sheās the only cast member thatās been announced for the show.* The writing process reportedly went great with them getting through six episodes worth of content in the time that it would take other writers rooms to get through one.* Kevin Williamson is also on board to write at least one episode and for what tone a Friday the 13th requel series is going for, I feel like heās a great pick for an episode or two. I donāt want this whole series to look and feel like Scream because Screamās focus isnāt really on the killer in the way that I look for with slasher movies.

Thatās not the topic of this video.* Heās also probably sitting there thinking that the ending of Scream 6 wraps up the Carpenter sistersā story well enough and I guess you could look at it that way but thereās still a lit of unanswered questions and stuff on the table that could easily be tackled in a third movie.* Anyway, despite all this, both the new director, Christopher Landon and James Vanderbilt who wrote 5 and 6 are still attached so it doesnāt look like itās a completely doom and gloom scenario.* Also when all this happened, Landon tweeted out that āEverything sucks. Stop yelling. This was not my decision to make.ā And like thatās 100% a situation where if you donāt have anything to say outside of a copout like that then just stay quiet. It literally hurts you to talk in most scenarios where the fans are in an uproar, justified or not* With the two previous leads gone, Vanderbilt and his partner Guy Busick are rewriting the script and just like with Scream 6, a lot of the set pieces look like theyāre going to stay the same everything around them is going to change which is risky because as much as I liked Scream 6, the reveal was the messiest part of the whole thing and the reasoning for that was the script rewrite.* As for the leads, the goal is allegedly to bring back Neve Campbell and also Patrick Dempsey to co-star with her and outside of all this drama and stuff, I want to make that clear, it would be cool to see him back in Scream after how awesome he was in Eli Rothās Thanksgiving. The dude has a future in horror thatās all Iām saying.* Still thatās a pretty ambitious goal considering sheās probably still pissed they wouldnāt pay her to come back for 6 and honestly rightfully so. My other ranking was: RZH2, Resurrection, RZH1, Halloween 5, Halloween 6, H20, Halloween 3, Halloween 2, Halloween 4, Halloween 2018 and Halloween for frame of reference.Itās changed quite a bit since I made that list back in 2020 so letās get started with the worst movie in the franchise, Halloween Resurrection.I donāt know what I was thinking back in 2020, maybe all the time trapped inside got to me but yeah, I had this movie second-to-last and after revisiting it multiple times for my collab with CZsWorld and just having it on during the Fear Fest marathons, Iām 100% positive this is and will remain the worst Halloween movie.The only two redeeming qualities for me are that the Myers house is almost a perfect replica of the original but it looks aged and seemingly abandoned which is honestly sick.That house is just so iconic and Iāve never understood how they thought they could just use a completely different house in Halloween 5 and nobody would notice but even when I was a little kid watching it on Fear Fest it was completely obvious to me.So knowing that the franchise gets more and more rushed after that movie, itās cool to see the Myers house get a little more attention to detail than expected.And the Katie Sackhoff decapitation scene, as poorly put together as it is, itās a good shock moment that gives the movie just a little bit of energy.Iāll also give it a bonus point for coming up with the idea to live stream a night in the Myers house since I could see that being an alternate universe marketing idea for Halloween kills but beyond that this movie just sucks.Iām already prepared for how mad people are going to be with how low I have H20 on this list, but even though itās not my favorite Halloween movie, I think its ending is pretty powerful and to betray it just one movie later with this pile of garbage really bums me out.I think itās a well-known fact that Iām like obsessed with the masks and Michaelās overall look in this franchise and despite the fact that the mask stays consistent here, it looks horribleItās literally one step removed from the crap quality masks people use for memes.I get why the franchise was rebooted after this because no matter what angle you look at it from, itās terrible.

What I know is based on script information Iām privy to and some sources working on the film in various capacities. But right now itās more interested in The Boogeyman than just Michael Myers.Basically this is an early 4-months-out call to ready yourself for something different and donāt hate it JUST because itās different. Itās also overall darker vs the half-white look we saw in Kills but yeah, itās just a more weathered version of what we got in Kills.Iām personally fine with that because I really like the mask in Kills. I prefer the 2018 mask because it looks a little meaner, but the mold for Kills and the flashback mask both look a lot more like the original mask so from an authenticity standpoint I think itās a smart mold to stick with.Iāve got it blurred on screen right now and unfortunately thatās all I can really show you because the person who gave me the picture made me promise that I wouldnāt reveal it and I donāt want to get them in trouble.Regardless, Iāll tell you that this is someone I trust and from what Iāve heard about the movie, the way this looks lines up pretty much perfectly with that.

Jimmy Champane 2022-07-02 | Do you want more Halloween movies?TWITTER ā± goo.gl/3ScE3yFEAR FREQUENCY PODCAST ā± goo.gl/fvrabWSUBSCRIBE FOR MORE ā± goo.gl/5w3fAPINSTAGRAM ā± goo.gl/2xBHVbDISCORD SERVER ā± discordapp.com/invite/fxqTPG3Halloween 1978 @ Halloween Horror NightsIāve talked about it a million times here on the channel but one of the hardest parts of moving to California right after college was losing the seasons.Iāve done a good job making it somewhere that has Fall around Halloween over the years, but the one thing Iāll never miss here in LA is Halloween Horror Nights.Iāve gone 6 times over the past 6 years because I went twice one year and they do a great job having at least one franchise I absolutely love covered whether itās Halloween 2, Trick 'r Treat, House of 1000 Corpses or Halloween 4.But this year theyāre going to have the holy grail of horror, Halloween 1978 and you know Iām 100% going to be there.Universal obviously knows how big of a deal this is because they released a cool trailer to announce it and while yeah, the costume could definitely be better, they nailed the beats, the color grading and it brought me back to when I was a kid and you know, people actually celebrated Halloween.Or at least it felt that way.Since they released a trailer for it I have a feeling that this is going to be a bigger house vs filling the spot that The Exorcist, Halloween 2 and Trick 'r Treat usually alternate through.So if it takes the spot that Freddy vs Jason, Ghostbusters or Stranger Things usually have Iām going to be so stoked.Hopefully this one is popular enough that after Halloween Ends Universal can grab some of the props from this trilogy and build out a cool haunt around the modern trilogy Michael because Iād love to see that personally.They must have a pretty good relationship with Blumhouse though because theyāre coming back this year with a haunt based on Freaky and The Black Phone which honestly, I canāt wait to see.Just like with Happy Death Day 2U, Freaky was way underseen and Vince Vaughn made a surprisingly good masked killer during the intro.And of course Ethan Hawke was sick as The Grabber so yeah, lots of masked killer representation at this yearās HHN and Iām happy to see it.Sequel TalkNext up, while we wait for the Halloween Ends trailer, lets talk about reshoots and a potential sequel.So while he was on the junket trail doing interviews for The Black Phone, of course some of the interviewers asked him about Halloween Ends and what would happen after that movie.Jason Blum started off by letting the interviewer know that he had seen the movie a couple weeks prior and that there were a couple things to fix on it.That was interesting to me because it lines up with a report from a Twitter Leaker called Viewer Anon on the same day about the movie going back for reshoots in Savannah Georgia.The thread itself is pretty interesting as it teases the movie isnāt just a Laurie vs Michael story and thereās other villains at play but long story short, the movie is going back for reshoots which I think is a good thing.After Halloween 2018, I think they got a little overconfident with Kills by bringing back so many legacy characters only to have them killed off, stuffing the script with the hospital moments and all that so seeing them take a more careful route with this movie like they did back in 2018 is a good thing.And I want to see them get it right because as Jason Blum put it, this is their last Halloween and when theyāre done with it the rights go back to Malak Akkhad and from there it could really go anywhere which makes me both excited and nervous.Look, I donāt know Malak Akkhad, Iām sure heās a great guy but heās running a business and Michael Myers is going to go where the money is.So if Blumhouse drops Halloween Ends regardless of whether or not people love it, if it makes a ton of money like the last two movies did, I bet itāll end up back at Blumhouse.If it bombs, thereās obviously no chance of that happening but then a different studio like New Line or Spyglass and Paramount could pick it up and do something new.Iām conflicted here because I think Blumhouse has done such a great job with Michael Myers specifically in both 2018 and Kills and Iād love to see more of that version, but after seeing how incredible the new Batman movie turned out earlier this year, Iām kinda like maybe it would be cool to see something new.Either way, I want Chris Nelson and his team working on the mask because say what you will about both movies but the masks theyāve created for them are incredible. Just top notch stuff.

Today, Americaās favorite scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis took to her Instagram to share the news that she has wrapped filming for the upcoming Halloween Ends and with it, also broke the news that this would officially be her last venture into the world of Laurie Strode.Featuring several photos of her fellow cast members, Curtis wrote a heartfelt post about her time on set of the David Gordon Green directed, Blumhouse produced film trilogy. The legendary actress wrote about the āgreat friendsā she has gained as well as the āwonderful artistsā sheās worked with on the newest installments of the Michael Myers based series. She also gave a shout-out to her fans who have shown up for both her and her character, Laurie Strode, after all of these years. Co-stars Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, and The Shape himself, James Jude Courtney also got a mention in the post. To round it out, Curtis shared her enthusiasm for fans to see the new movie.Taking front and center in the photo series, Richards, rocking her characterās iconic bangs, strikes a pose with a face shield in position. A fan favorite and OG on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Richards reprised her role of Lindsey Wallace for the newest films, a choice that almost certainly drew in viewers from a different crowd to the Halloween universe.
