It was originally invented in the 1870's by Sir William Crookes. He originally thought that it was turning based on the 'pressure' of light radiation. It is now commonly understood to turn based on the black side of the vane making heat when light hits it, and thus turning the vanes around due to air currents. The direction of this radiometer's vanes spins clockwise in sunlight as you would expect from the black paint that coats one side of the vane. The black side typically moves away from the direction of sunlight.It is assumed that it has to be air currents from heat generated. If the bulb is entirely evacuated of air, the vanes cease to turn.Here we see the vanes turn with no source of light, but instead placed within a high intensity electric field. The stronger the field and more ions that are driven between the high tension field, the faster the vanes turn.
Thyratron Switched Tesla Magnifier System Teslas Primary Ray Research 2020-12-12 | An introduction to a new system I've been working on as a platform for experimentation.This is a HVDC system operating around 7500 volts DC. It is only capable of delivering around 300-400 watts of power. Instead of a typical spark gap, there is a 5C22 thyratron driven by an EG&G TM-29 Thyratron Grid Driver. The goal of this system is to create a very instantaneous disruptive discharge into the primary system for damped wave oscillation. The energy is dumped into the primary which is magnetically transferred into the secondary coil. This secondary coil then drives a high voltage and high current into the small extra coil. The small extra coil has no magnetic coupling to the primary or secondary so once the energy is transferred the extra coil rings freely. This allows it to generate higher voltages than the input voltage coming out of the secondary coil. I can also completely short out this system with no chance of damaging the system or pulling too much current.Ive built countless systems and broken many hundreds of dollars worth of transistors and IGBTs. Radiant Energy Oscillator Teslas Primary Ray Research 2014-04-25 | This is by far the best circuit I have tried, I have tried many of the circuits from Nikola Tesla's CO Springs Notebook...Many are symmetrical, some are hard to tune and some are not. The ones that are selective and hard to tune are also very efficient...The trade off is in the power dissipated. The easy to tune ones may require lots of current to get power into the other circuit. This is because the system is out of balance. This circuit requires a bifilar choke, a tuning inductor and gas discharge tubes. The capacitors are also necessary for the tight tuning. There is much complexity in this circuit and it must be properly matched so that the whole system is in resonance. I have posted the equations on my website some time ago. This is kind of like a resonant DC buck converter, with 2 different circuit analysis...one for when the discharge happens and is temporarily shorted, and the other for charging. The impedances change with respect to what circuit configuration exists. The voltage breakdown of the spark is also a key figure. I would recommend getting a bunch of HV HF diodes, a ranges of voltages for gas discharge tubes and a variable inductor. The output is mainly dependent on the conditioning of energy before it even gets to the primary of the tesla type vortex coil...The frequency of the "bursts" from the discharge must be tuned accordingly. The significance of the bifilar choke is that when in a LC system, the phase angle is around -90 degrees no matter what! The LC system seemingly has no inductance, so the phase is kept that of a capacitor, so it can then be balanced by the primary inductance of the vortex coil and tuned with the variable inductor. IF the choke was not bifilar, tuning would be even more selective...not to mention much more frustrating!The gas discharge tube (GDT) that worked best was for me was 800v...the frequency of the discharge depends mainly on the amount of power delivered from the iron core transformer and the breakdown voltage of the GDT. The lower the voltage breakdown, the faster the spark frequency.

But this was irrespective of the driving frequency and the natural frequency of the coil. I then found out the spark frequency was the same as the pulse width of the square wave....Any ideas of how to stop this from happening? Can this be of any benefit?
Investigation of extra spark to capacitance Teslas Primary Ray Research 2014-02-11 | In tesla's magnifying transmitter schematic, he employs an extra spark from the top of the secondary to a large capacitance...There seems to be a benefit here that may be largely misunderstood. Either way, a spark to a capacitance causes a magnification of radiant energy in the whole circuit, all the way back into the primary and into the driving circuit. The better your driver is at blocking this energy from leaking back into ground via gate capacitances and blocking diodes the more energy will be conserved in resonance. The use of employing a blocking cap and light bulb to ground from the primary is a way of draining the energy from going back into your driving circuit. This is not necessarily beneficial (as you want the energy to stay in the resonant system) but it does ease the workload on the blocking diodes...sometimes the radiant causes my circuit to self oscillate at a high frequency, most likely due to the small wires in my driving circuit forming capacitance's and causing miscellaneous oscillations. This is also not good, as this frequency is usually not the resonant frequency!
The Evolution of Teslas Transmitter Teslas Primary Ray Research 2014-02-03 | NOTE: This is not tesla's true wireless because these coils have distributed capacity requiring the need for a coupling capacitor. Tesla had a node at one end of the coil and maximum amplitude at the end that was grounded. The toroid was used as a method of reflecting the wave back down into the earth. These vortex coils have maximum amplitude at both ends of the coil. Here we go into the phenomenon of glowing discharges and capacitive coupling to earth. What exactly is radiant energy? How does it prefer to travel? This shows a replication of a transmitter that goes from a spark to earth to a capacitive coupling to earth. Also, when the glow discharge happens, it seems the excited portion of air is excited closest to the ground electrode...The coil seems to create an "area" of low potential in reference to earth. The earth is responding to the vibrations of harmonic resonance with radiant energy. This could have to do more with mass than capacitance.

Interesting things to note have to do with how the conventional RC is half the length of wire as the DIT. Also the resonant frequency of the DIT is half that of the RC...Thus we produce 2 times the voltage on the DIT compared to the RC....What do you think this has to do with?The lower resonant frequency produces a much larger EM field and pretends it is a huge antenna. (the DIT is resonant around 23khz and the RC is around 46khz) I personally have a hunch that these coils are reaching into the zero point field through fractal geometry.Now because the wavelength of the DIT is 2 times larger than the RC....would you think the voltage gains could be due to closer resonance with earths resonant frequencies? In Tesla's CO springs notebook he achieved huge voltage gains with bigger coils (same power supply)....thus larger wavelengths/lower frequencies....I would lean towards the interaction the coil has with its environment for reasons of larger voltages and longer damped oscillations rather than ratios of primary to secondary windings...after all the DIT and the RC are both the same ratio of length of wire to each other along with mass of copper. Many variables are held constant between these two coils. Feedback is much appreciated. There is something to be said of Tesla's experiments at CO springs...particularly the amount of time he spent adjusting the wavelength of the transmitter by adjusting the capacitance and spark frequency...could the transmitter have been tapping into a frequency/harmonic of earth thus getting larger voltages? Single Wire Transmission with Asymmetric Motor powering Vortex Coils Teslas Primary Ray Research 2013-12-12 | In this video I show Tesla's original idea applied to vortex coils. The vortex coils are based off of Tesla's equations for resonance...(same mass in both primary and secondary winding's). The coils are made to be out of phase with each other, this is accomplished through winding the coils in opposite geometry to each other as shown. These coils are both resonant around 47.8khz. They each have about 109m of wire on the secondaries. I also have used a meter to calculate the inductance. This resulted in a proposed resonant frequency of about 25khz with a microwave capacitor....My guess is because of the distributed capacitance they will resonate at a range of frequencies....however when pulsed at around 50khz, I calculated a voltage gain of 20. Using a signal generator set to a square wave at 20vpp @ ~50khz the coil goes into harmonic oscillation with ~400vpp. This is the desired driving frequency. With AC the coil will produce AC radiant waves. With DC pulses I believe it will be able to make damped oscillations in purely negative or positive depending on the polarity. With the use of an elevated terminal and high voltage, these coils can push power through the ground very efficiently. Only through resonance will they be able to receive the power. Because of the asymmetric motor, I am causing the coil to go into resonance with excitation of the radiant energy that is coming out of the generator side of the motor. This can also be accomplished through a spark gap into the coil. I am convinced all tesla's generators were ASYMMETRIC. Another interesting thing is how his westinghouse transformer was wrapped if he was indeed using AC from the power mains. This transformation of energy can only be done through asymmetric systems. Through the use of high voltage and elevated terminals, electrons can be caused to move in accordance to the pressure (voltage) exerted on them. Thus your source of electrons becomes the environment (various metals to be specific). This has to do with MASS.
Energy Transformation through Asymmetric Sytems Teslas Primary Ray Research 2013-10-21 | This video is intended to inspire others to experiment both mentally and physically with the idea of asymmetry. There is no magic, it is simply the breaking of symmetry that lets radiant energy manifest itself. You cannot measure it with our standard tools. This energy can only be shown and felt. It has deep roots in the geometry of nature. Nature always responds to changes in energy density with a vortex/spiral movement. Look at hurricanes, storms, sound, whirlpools, and tornadoes for example. Is it too far fetched to think when a magnetic field is created, the environment responds in a similar manner with an opposing vortex? Every time we create a magnetic field on our side of reality, an opposing one is made from the environment. This is what makes negative EMF spikes in pulsed systems (however we are taught in depth of how to FILTER it out). If the system is symmetric, the opposing field will directly cancel out with the field we create resulting in heat generation. This is our current standard for energy efficiency. An asymmetric system allows the field to be created without direct canceling of the magnetic fields resulting in an environmental magnetic oscillation, which can deliver energy. This is the idea behind the rodin/vortex/abha coil. Everything is already resonating. The geometry exists in the mind before it is physically represented. Output of Asymmetric Motor into Tesla Style Rodin Coil Teslas Primary Ray Research 2013-10-17 | Here the output of the asymmetric motor is first analyzed on a scope to see the PWM output. The asymmetric motor is known to output DC, however there is another component to the output... The rodin coil is then connected and the waveform is analyzed once again. When a ground is connected to the rodin coil through capacitors and LEDs in series we can see that there is AC power present between the coil and the ground. When more capacitance or a source of radiant is connected to the hot end of the secondary we can see an increase in power flow from the ground into the coil to the top connection of the secondaries. By exciting the coil with radiant energy we can create a path for radiant energy to flow from the ground into the atmosphere (space the coil occupies). The main reason I am showing this is because this is not possible with any form of symmetric system. Symmetric motors/systems comprise everything available on the market.

A microwave oven capacitor is in series with the input. Due to this, the square wave smooths out at higher frequencies. Interesting things learned were the resonance seems to be independent of wire length. I will be making a smaller one the same way and testing the resonance of that as well. The lower frequency of vibration at resonance and the geometry of the coil allows the coil to capture energy by oscillating with the environment.
