For the replacement process we'll need the following tools:

- Pentalobe screw driver P5 1.2
- Torx screw drivers T4 & T8
- and a plastic pick

To begin make sure the laptop is turned off.
Proceed on removing the back cover screws using a pentalobe screwdriver P5 1.2
There are 10 screws total and the four screws by the hinges are longer than the rest.

Remove the back cover starting at the hinges.
Flip the laptop around and using a T4 torx screw driver remove four screws from the wifi antenna assembly.

Using the same T4 screw driver remove two screws from the metal shield over the video connector.
Disconnect the battery using a plastic pick, first lift the securing metal bracket, then pick open the battery connector.

Remove the video connector shield. Using a plastic pick, open the video connector.

Using a T4 torx screw driver remove one screw from the WiFi cable shield, remove the shield.
Pick open the coaxial wifi antenna cables.

Using a T4 torx screw driver remove two screws securing the LCD driver board.

Using a plastic pick gently pry out the wifi antenna assembly, thread the LCD driver board through and set the assembly aside.

Open the laptop display at a 90 degree angle and hang it off the desk edge.

Using a T8 torx screw driver remove 6 hinge screws, three on each side. Carefully separate the display assembly from the main body and set it aside.

Take out the new display assembly and remove all packing material around the LCD driver board.

Bend the LCD driver board out towards the bottom edge and gently hang the new assembly on the hinges.

Replace two T8 torx screws one in each hinge but do not tighten fully.

Secure the LCD driver board with two T4 torx screws. Reconnect the video connector. Reconnect the battery.

Flip the laptop over and reconnect a USB-C charger. Turn the laptop on to test the new screen.

The LCD is working and we can finish the installation process. Shut down the laptop and disconnect the power cord.

Flip the computer over and disconnect the battery.

Remove two T4 torx screws from the LCD driver board and disconnect the video connector.

Thread through the wifi antenna assembly over the LCD driver board.

Press firmly on both sides of the wifi assembly and use a plastic pick to snap-in the assembly in the middle under LCD driver board.

Realign the coaxial wifi cables and gently press at the top to plug them in. Replace the wifi connector shield and secure it with one T4 torx screw.

Depending on your replacement part, some of the LCD driver board shields need to be transferred from the original assembly.

Remove two T4 torx screws from the left shield, remove the shield.

Remove two more T4 torx screws from the right shield, remove the shield.

Replace the left LCD driver board shield and secure it with two T4 torx screws.

Replace the right LCD driver board shield and secure it with two T4 torx screws.

Replace the four long T4 torx screws to secure the wifi assembly.

Undo the two T8 torx screws in the hinges and using your fingers ensure that the new display assembly is properly aligned with the main body.

Tighten the two T8 torx screws in the hinges. Replace the other four T8 screws in the hinges, two on each side.

Reconnect the battery connector. Secure the connector bracket. Replace the back cover.

Replace the ten pentalobe P5 1.2 screws in the back cover. The four longer screws go in the edge closest to hinges.

Flip the laptop over, reconnect the power, start the computer.

Remove the protective film from the front and the back, and we're done!

left side. Place the LCD on the keyboard.

The video connector is secured with a clear tape. Using plastic pick and fingers gently peel off
the tape. Open the connector bracket. Disconnect the video cable. Discard the old panel.

Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable and close the
connector's bracket. Secure the connector with a clear tape.

To begin shutdown the laptop and disconnect the power cord.
Using an exactoknife remove two plastic covers in the bottom corners of the bezel, one on each side.
Remove two phillips screws located under the covers.

We will attempt to remove the bezel by gently pulling it away from the inner edge, however the bottom edge is obstructed by the laptop body, so the entire display assembly will need to come out first.

Flip the laptop over and begin removing the phillips screws securing the back cover. Most of the screws are of different lengths and it is important to keep track of their positions.

Remove three longer screws from the bottom edge and set them on the desk in the same pattern that they were in the laptop.

Remove a mid-sized phillips screw from the right edge, set it on the desk.

Remove four mid-sized screws from the upper edge, one screw is missing on this laptop.

Remove a mid-sized phillips screw from the left edge, set it on the desk.

Using a plastic pick begin separating the back cover at the bottom edge.

A final hidden phillips screw is located under a round cover in the middle of the back cover. Use an exactoknife to remove the cover then remove the screw, set it on the desk.

At this point the back cover should open up, set it aside.

Use a plastic pick to free up the securing tape on the battery cable. Using the same pick disconnect the battery connector.

Use the plastic pick to gently lift the clear tape securing the video connector near the left hinge. Disconnect the video connector.

Use a phillips screwdriver to remove three screws on the left hinge, there are four holes, but this laptop only has 3 screws on each side.

Remove the three phillips screws on the right hinge.

Use a plastic pick to lift up the hinge, then use a screwdriver to further open up the right hinge. Do the same procedure to open up the left hinge.

At this point the laptop body can be safely lifted off the display assembly. Set it aside.

Proceed on removing the bezel. Pull on the inner edge, gently unsnapping the tabs underneath. Start on the left edge, move over to the top, the right side then the bottom. Set the bezel aside.

The LCD panel is mounted on adhesive. You will need to use a heat gun or a hairdryer to warm up the edges of the display assembly from the back.
Warm up the right edge, making sure that it doesn't get too hot, then the left edge.

Use a plastic pick to begin separating the LCD on the right edge. Warm up the left edge and use a plastic pick to remove the LCD.

Peel the securing tape over the video connector, and using both hands, gently disconnect the video connector.

Place the new LCD near the video cable. Reconnect the video connector and secure it with clear tape.

Clean the edges of the new LCD with rubbing alcohol to provide the best adhesion.

Insert the new panel into the back cover and using a microfiber cloth press the right and the left edges of the LCD onto the adhesive.

Replace the bezel and remove the protective film from the LCD. Then go around the perimeter gently snapping the plastic tabs.

Replace the two phillips screws into the two bottom corners of the display assembly.

Place the laptop body onto the display assembly. Bend down the hinges onto their mounts.

Replace the three phillips screws in the left hinge, then the three more phillips screws into the right hinge.

Gently reconnect the video cable on the motherboard and secure it with clear tape.

Reconnect the battery connector, and secure the battery cable with tape.

Replace the back cover. Secure it with three long phillips screws at the bottom edge.

One mid-sized screw on the right edge. Replace the middle phillips screws and cover it with its plastic cover.

Replace the four phillips screws on the top edge and the final screw on the left edge.

Replace the two plastic covers in the two bottom corners of the display assembly.

This is necessary if either your front glass digitizer or the LCD is broken.

You will need the following tools:

- an exacto knife
- plastic picks

- flat metal pick
- tweezers

To begin shut the laptop down and disconnect the power cord.

Pick off two rubber covers from the bottom using an exacto knife. Remove the two phillips screws found under the rubber covers.
Flip the laptop over and using a plastic pick separate the seem at the bottom of the display assembly.

Please Note: This computer powers on whenever the screen is lifted off the keyboard.

Open the display back up, shut the computer down. Using a plastic pick separate the bottom plastic cover strip.
Remove three phillips screws located under the plastic cover. Pick off the front display assembly from the back cover and place it on the keyboard.

Peel off the clear plastic tape over the video connector, lift up the connector bracket and using both hands gently disconnect the video cable.
Using a phillips screwdriver remove four screws from the metal rail at the top edge of the display assembly.

Use a plastic pick to separate the webcam adhesive, then carefully lift off the metal rail, making sure to separate the webcam cable from its guides.
Free up the cable and set the rail aside.

Use a flat metal pick to disconnect the digitizer's cable from the digitizer board. Then separate a cable from a tiny sensor board next to the digitizer board. You may need to use tweezers to undo the accessory cable from its guides.

At this point the front display assembly can be separated. Set the main body aside and place the replacement display assembly above the original.
We need to transfer the wacom digitizer and the controller, as well as the tiny sensor board from the old display assembly to the new one.

The wacom digitizer is attached to the back of the LCD using soft adhesive applied to its perimeter. Use a flat metal pick to gently cut through the adhesive perimeter. Place spare plastic picks between the separated digitizer and the LCD to prevent it from sticking back. Continue using the flat metal pick to free up the adhesive perimeter. Be very careful around the area where the digitizer connects to its controller. Separate the digitizer board together with the digitizer. Pick off the tiny sensor board from the old assembly.

Replace the tiny sensor board onto the new assembly, making sure the boards connector is facing to the right. Align the wacom digitizer with the LCD and reattach the controller board. Use a microfiber cloth to gently press on the adhesive.

Place the new assembly onto the keyboard and align it with the cabling. Insert the accessory cable in its guides. Thread the sensor board onto the connector. Reconnect the cable to the digitizer board using a flat metal pick.

Insert the webcam cable into its guides. Make sure the cable is properly routed to not get pinched by the case on reassembly. Carefully thread the cable through all its guides. Place the metal rail onto its positioning pins and press down onto the webcam board to catch its adhesive. Replace the four phillips screws through the metal rail.

Using both hands carefully reconnect the video connector, close the connectors bracket and secure it with clear tape.

CAUTION! It is very important not to force any of the connectors.

Do a final check on all cables making sure they are strictly within their guides. Lift the assembly up and as we can see the screen is working, shut the computer down. Replace the two rubber covers over the two phillips screws.

The bezel is still held in place by the hinges. Pull the bezel away from the screen
to get access to the screws holding the screen on the mounting rails. Use the same
Phillips screwdriver to remove six screws. Three screws on the right side and three
screws on the left.

Separate the LCD screen from the back cover leaving it to an angle of aproximataly
of 30 degrees. Now we have access to the video connector. Remove the clear tape securing
the connector. Gently pull the connector out and discard the old screen.

Take the new LCD screen and insert it between the bezel and the back cover. Reconnect
the video connector. Secure it with a clear tape.

CAUTION! It is very important not to force any of the connectors. You must not twist
or slant the connector when plugging it in.

Now we can test the new screen. reconnect the power cord and press the power button.
The screen is working and we can finish the installation process.

Replace the six screws holding the LCD screen on the mounting rails. Three screws on the

Repeat the same procedure on the right side. Open the counter-lever, slide out the cable.

The speakers are held in-place with adhesive and we’ll be using a heat gun to release it. A hair-drier can also be used.

It is very important to not let any heat into the open back. Heat up the surface from the keyboard side.

And using a combination of picks pry up the speaker from the case. Continue to use the heat gun to keep the adhesive warm.

Pry out the speaker once it is sufficiently free and leave the adhesive in-place.

Repeat the same procedure on the left side.

Computer will react to the lid opening by turning on. This can be prevented by disconnecting the battery, but for a minor repair like a speaker replacement its not a must, as long as you are careful not to touch anything else.

Pry out the second speaker and straighten out the adhesive.

Replace the new speakers and reconnect the left flex cable. Lock the connector’s counter-lever. Reconnect the right flex cable and lock the connector’s counter lever.

At this point the back cover can go back in. This is the slides that lock-under near the fans.

Center the back cover carefully and slide it toward the back edge. Apply pressure with your thumbs to snap the two pins underneath.

Replace the 6 pentalobe 1.2 screws. Two longer ones go in the bottom two corners. And four identical screws go in the top edge.

The front assembly consists of the frame, the glass digitizer and the LCD screen.

To begin turn the phone off by holding the power button and confirming shutdown on screen.

Remove two pentalobe screws from the bottom of the phone.

Use a heat gun to warm the adhesive around the perimeter of the iPhone. The surface should
be warm but not burning. Place a suction cup near the bottom edge and while providing some
tension insert a plastic pick between the display assembly and the main body. Move the
plastic pick along the edge. Use a heat gun repeatedly to keep the glue warm. Apply some pressure
with plastic pick to separate the front assembly from the main body. Go around the perimeter.

Please note, there are cables located near the left edge of the phone. Keeping that in mind
open the iPhone as book to the left side.

Now we have access to the connectors shields. Using Tri-wing screwdriver carefully remove
1 screw holding first metal shield. Using plastic pick open the shield and put it aside.
To prevent a short circuit disconnect the battery connector. Using the same plastic pick
open the LCD connector. The second metal shield is held in place with two tri-wing screws
and one phillips screw. Remove the screws and set the shield aside. Using plastic pick
open the sensors connector. Separate the screen assembly from the main body.

We will be replacing the waterproof adhesive, so all of the original adhesive needs to be
removed. Use a heat gun if needed.

The new waterproof adhesive comes on convenient plastic sheets cut to the shape of the edge
of the phone. Remove the backing plastic of the adhesive shape. Apply the shape to the
perimeter of the phone.

Take out the new front assembly and put it to the left edge of the phone. Carefully reconnect
the sensors connector. Then the LCD connector. Replace the metal shield covering the sensors connector.
The shield has hooks. Thread the hooks into the holes. Replace one Phillips screw and two tri-wings
screws.

Reconnect the battery.
At this stage we can test the device. Close the iPhone and press the power button. The screen is working
and we can finish the replacement process.

Turn the phone off. Replace another metal shield. The shield has two hooks. Thread the hooks into
the holes. Secure the shield with one tri-wing screw.

Close the phone tightly and using soft clothing apply some pressure, to the sides of the phone,
snapping display assembly in-place.

Replace two pentalobe screws at the bottom. Turn the iPhone on and we are done!

Now we can test the device. Close the iPhone reconnect the charger and press the power button. The screen is working and we can finish the reinstallation process.

Close the phone tightly and using soft clothing apply some pressure to the sides of the phone snapping the display assembly in-place.

This laptop has a front touch digitizer which is not damaged. It is a very rare case of an LCD being broken from the back side.

For the installation process we'll need the following tools:
- A heat gun
- Several plastic picks
- A metal pick
- A Phillips screwdriver
- A microfibre cloth

To begin shut down the laptop and disconnect the power cable.

The front glass digitizer is mounted with adhesive, we will need to use a heat gun to warm up the display assembly to help with separation. Warm up the three edges of the back side of the display assembly. Use your hand to control the heating, surface must be hot tot he touch but not burning hot. Warm up the top edge from the front.

Insert a plastic pick between the silver back cover and the black rubber gasket at the top right corner. Slide the pick down the right edge. Continually warm up the front edge. Insert another plastic pick at the top edge and warm up the back side along the edges. As long as the picks are applying pressure on the adhesive continual warming with the heat gun will assist with separation. Slide the right edge pick further down towards the hinges.

Insert another pick at the top edge and move onto the left side. Warm up the left edge from the back side. Slide the left edge pick further down towards the hinges. Warm up the bottom edge from the back side, and move the side picks all the way down the edge.

The top edge has a couple of screws securing the digitizer to the back cover. They are secured from a plastic plank behind the glass and are not easily accessible. As a short-cut we will pop the screw nuts out of their plastic sockets by using a bit of heat and a sturdy force. Using a plastic pick apply a bit of leverage at the top edge around the webcam, and the left socket pops out. Apply a bit of heat from the back and using the same pick apply leverage over the right socket to pop it out.

Pick out the rubber gasket from the top edge of the digitizer and put it behind the back cover. Apply heat to the bottom edge from the front, making sure to not over-heat any one area. Pry open the digitizer and using a metal pick proceed on cutting the bottom edge adhesive. Be extremely careful to avoid cutting the digitizer's ribbon cable located about 1 quarter way from the right edge. It must not be damaged, otherwise the whole front glass digitizer is toast.

Using a Phillips screwdriver remove two screws from a metal strip that shields the LCD board from the digitizer. Carefully bend down the separator strip away from the LCD. Remove four Phillips screws securing the LCD, one in each corner. Tilt the LCD panel forward to remove protective plastic from the video connector. Then using a pick carefully open the video connector's bracket. Disconnect the video connector and set the old panel aside.

This is the spot that damaged the LCD from behind. Something pointy hit the laptop on the back cover and left a dent. We'll use a flat bottomed handle to push out the dent so it doesn't damage the new LCD.

At this point the new LCD can be installed. The video connector is very short and tightly seated, so the new LCD will need to be threaded onto the connector. Take out the new LCD and set the connector's bracket to secure the connector away from the back cover. Plug the LCD onto the connector and secure the connector's bracket. Lift the LCD up and align it with the mountings, secure two bottom Phillips screws on the bottom edge, one in each corner.

At this point the new LCD can be tested, plug the power cord in and on this laptop you will be able to see the time and battery status with it still off. The LCD appears to be connected properly.

Bend back the metal separator strip. Replace the two Phillips screws securing the LCD at the top edge, one in each corner. Replace two Phillips screws in the separator strip one on each end.

Clean the inner side of the digitizer using a microfibre cloth. Remove the protective film from the LCD.

Lift up the digitizer and replace the rubber gasket at the top edge. Its important that the gasket is aligned. Use extra care to reinsert the top edge, making sure the gasket is properly in place. Use a heat gun to warm up the back cover at the top edge near the webcam, this is needed for those screw sockets that we've popped out to go back in securely. Use a microfibre cloth to secure the top edge by popping the two screw sockets back in.

Warm up the other edges of the display then massage the edges from the front with a microfibre cloth to catch the adhesive. Support the back cover when working on the bottom edge.

Plug in the power and turn the laptop on. Verify that the touch digitizer is still working and we're done!

To replace the screen you'll need a bunch of plastic picks, an exact-o-knife and an industrial hairdryer.

To begin make sure the laptop appears to be off and disconnect the power cord so it's not in the way.
This laptop has a couple of Phillips screws on the bottom, they do not need to be removed. Instead use your thumbs to gently separate the plastic frame around the screen. Start from the left edge, unless you live where people don't read from left to right, in which case you can do whatever edge you want first. Go around the perimeter carefully unsnapping the tabs underneath. Take extra care around the webcam area.

The bottom edge is glued in, which is done to prevent any cleaning liquids from getting into the laptop, because people continue to spray directly on the screen instead of the cleaning cloth. Use an exact-o-knife to cut any glue strands and using moderate effort unglue the bottom edge from the display. The bottom edge is being held in-place with the hinge cover, which is not easily removable. Carefully pull out the bottom edge freeing it from the hinge cover, set the plastic frame aside.

There are a couple of Phillips screws at the top corners of the display, those also don't need to be removed. In-fact there are no screws that need to be removed in this tutorial at all

In 2021 the LCDs are held in place with unflavoured bubble gum. You will need to use an industrial hairdryer, also known as a heat-gun to soften the bubble gum. Use your hand to feel the temperature as you evenly warm up the two edges. If you start screaming the temperature is simply too high, and you should try moving the heat-gun further away.

Once you get bored of waiving the heat-gun around, you can try inserting a plastic pick behind the LCD on the right edge, and do the same on the left edge. This applies pressure on the bubble gum to help with separation. Wave the heat-gun around for a little more. Continue separation by sliding the picks down towards the bottom edge. Keep waiving the heat-gun. Use a third plastic pick to separate the bubble gum from behind the LCD. Continue applying heat to keep the bubble gum pliable.

Once the separation is achieved place the LCD on the keyboard. Resist the temptation to try the bubble gum, its completely bland and flavourless we promise. You can reuse it on the replacement screen, just straighten it out and leave it be.

If you have recently cut your nails, use a plastic pick to separate the clear tape securing the video connector. And using both hands slide out the video connector away from the LCD. Put the old screen aside.

At this point the new screen can be installed. The most important part for the success of the whole replacement process is reconnecting this video connector. Use both hands to slide it straight in, the connector must not be slanted or twisted when plugging it it.

Lift the new LCD and align it with the bottom edge. Tack it onto the old bubble gum, or if you prefer you can get normal adhesive on our website LaptopScreen.com, but it's also flavourless. Warm up the edges of the display from the back using a heat-gun, and using a microfibre cloth gently massage the edges of the LCD into the back cover. At this point the LCD can be tested. Reconnect the power cable and press the power button.

If the start-up graphics appears the LCD is connected properly. Shut down the laptop by holding the power button.

First we'll need to separate the back of the display assembly. Use a plastic pick to unsnap the back cover near the hinges. Continue unsnapping the tabs on the right side, move over to the left, then the bottom edge. Remove the back cover.

This is the replacement front display assembly. It gives us a clue on how the original part is mounted. There are 8 screws holding the display assembly to the hinge rails. Separate the second wi-fi antenna from its placement. Begin removing the two antenna cables from their guiding channels, carefully separating the tape that is holding wires in.

Using a plastic pick separate the blue-tooth module near the top edge. Transfer the little silver foamy from underneath the module to the new assembly. Peel off the black USB cable going to the touch digitizer module. Carefully disconnect the cable from the touch digitizer module. Using a plastic pick over the touch digitizer ribbon cable connector locking-lever. Pull out the ribbon cable from the touch digitizer module. Pick out the touch digitizer module and transfer it to the new assembly if needed.

Begin removing the webcam cable from the guiding channel, carefully separating the tape that is holding the wire in. Set all the wires aside above the hinges. At this point the original display assembly can be separated from the laptop. Lift up both hinge rails away from the display. You may need to open the display assembly up to 120 degrees

Place the new display assembly on the keyboard.

Our new part has the digitizer controller built in and has the appropriate connector at the end of its flex cable. The old digitizer module is not needed, simply unfold the flex cable and secure it in-place with double-sided adhesive tape.

Mount the new display assembly on the hinges and close the lid flat. Replace the three Phillips screws on the left hinge. Replace the three Phillips screws on the right hinge. Two more screws go in the left and right corners.

In our case the new part comes with standardized size screw placements, but the original corner screws are too small. So we're taking the least needed screws from each of the hinges and relocating them into the corners.

Moving on, we're replacing the blue-tooth module, making sure that the silver foamy is positioned properly.

Next, unlock the touch-digitizer flex cable connector's counter-lever and plug in the touch digitizer cable. Lock the connector's counter-lever.

Using both hands carefully reconnect the video connector and lock the connector's bracket.

Replace the blue foamy over the connector and secure the connector with clear tape. Tuck the blue-tooth and touch digitizer cables into their appropriate channels.

Next route the wi-fi antenna cables into their appropriate channels. It is extremely important to make sure that all accessory cables that run on the perimeter do not interfere with the back-cover lid tabs. The cover can pinch the cables and cause further damage to the laptop if accessory cables aren't positioned properly and secured in-place.

Replace the right wi-fi antenna and secure the aluminum grounding pad to the LCD. Make sure the antenna cables are routed inside their channel guides. Replace the left wi-fi antenna and secure the copper grounding pad to the LCD.

The replacement display assembly does not contain the front speaker and sensors, we will be transferring them from the original display. Remove two tri-wing screws at the top then two more phillips screws on the bottom. Unfold the speaker and using a plastic pick carefully pick out the sensors from its placement and separate the entire garland from the display.

We will be replacing the waterproofing adhesive, so all of the original adhesive needs to be removed from the edge of the phone. Use tweezers to pick out the adhesive from the edge. The waterproofing adhesive comes on convenient plastic sheets cut to the shape of the edge of the phone. Remove the backing plastic of the adhesive shape. Apply the shape to the perimeter of the phone and using a plastic pick press the adhesive into place. Carefully begin removing the adhesive making sure that it stays on the perimeter of the phone.

Take out the new assembly and place the sensors in their appropriate locations, fold over the speaker and replace two phillips screws then two tri-wing screws.

Put the new display assembly to the left edge of the phone and reconnect the front speaker and sensors connector then the touch digitizer and LCD connector. Carefully reconnect the battery connector.

Wipe the inside of the back cover with rubbing alcohol. Install two strips of double sided adhesive on two edges.

Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Using both hands reconnect the video cable. Close the connector’s bracket. Secure it with tape.

Keep the iPad propped up on its edge, the display assembly connectors must be undone before the display assembly can be fully separated.

There are four connectors located under a metal shield which is secured with two phillips screws. Use a phillips screw driver bit to open the metal shield. Use a plastic pick to carefully open the four assembly connectors.

Separate the display assembly and put the main body aside.

The home button fingerprint sensor must be removed and transferred onto the new display assembly. Using tweezers remove a black securing sticky tape from the home button connector. Using a plastic pick open the connector counter-lever from the left side. Disconnect the flex cable.

Using the same pick gently unglue a metal bracket over the home button. Set the bracket aside. Push on the home button from the front and use a pick to help separate the home button membrane. Set the home button aside.

At this point the new part can be prepared. Start with the home button, insert it making sure the membrane is lands correctly in-place. Replace the metal bracket over the home button. You may need to apply additional adhesive underneath. Slide the home button cable into the connector and lock the counter-lever. Replace the black sticky tape securing the connector.

Put the iPad on its edge and align the display assembly with the connector. Click in the four assembly connectors. They made a distinct feeling click when aligned and plugged in properly. Replace the metal shield over the connectors and secure it with two phillips screws.

At this point the new display can be tested, press the power button and wait for the iPad to start. Hold the power button again to shut down and confirm the shut down on screen. Align the bottom edge of the assembly with the iPad and pat the edges down.

The home button fingerprint sensor connector needs to be undone before the phone can be opened fully. Using a plastic pick open the securing bracket over the connector and disconnect the fingerprint sensor. For a safe reinstallation process we need to disconnect the battery. The battery connector is located under a small metal shield. Hold the front assembly vertically and remove the two phillips screws holding the shield in place. Remove the metal shield. Disconnect the battery. In order to separate the front assembly from the main body we need to gain access to its connectors under an EM shield. Remove the four phillips screws while holding the front assembly at a right angle to the main body. Remove the EM shield. Set the shield aside. Next step is to open the threesmall connectors. Use a plastic pick and gently open the connectors one by one. Separate the front assembly and place it on the desk. Some components need to be transferred from the original part onto the new assembly. Namely: The big metal shield, home button, front camera with light sensor and speaker.

We will start with the home button. Remove three phillips screws, one on the home button cable and two more on the home button bracket. Set the bracket aside. Using a plastic pick carefully separate the home button cable off its adhesive pad. Pick up the assembly and apply some pressure to the home button from the front. Use a plastic to help separate the rubber gasket, set the home button aside. Remove three phillips screws holding the speaker bracket at the top. Pick open the bracket together with the speaker and set it aside.

Proceed on removing the big metal shield. Remove two phillips screws on the right side, then two more on the left side.

Pick up the metal shield from the bottom and carefully lift it up. The sensors are grounded to the metal shield with conductive tape. Pick off the sensors from the adhesive pad near the speaker contacts and carefully lift the metal shield together with the sensors, set them aside.

Place the new screen on the desk and replace the big metal shield. Carefully guide all the sensors in their appropriate positions. Secure the metal shield with two phillips screws on one side and two mor eont he other side. Replace the speaker. Clip in the speaker bracket on the left side then push down on the right side. Replace three phillips screws, the longest one goes at the top of the speaker.
Replace the home button onto the new display assembly. Cover the home button with the metal shield and secure it with two phillips screws.
Theres a tiny contact pad that is mounted on the third phillips screw that was left on the home button cable. It need to be positioned underneath the cable on reassembly and secured with a phillips screw. Now we can connect the front assembly to the main body. Position the front assembly at a right angle to the main body aligning it to the top edge of the phone. Hold the assembly vertically and gently snap in all three connectors. CAUTION! It is very important not to force any of the connectors. All connectors are very fragile. At this point we can test the device. Reconnect the battery, and turn the phone on, if the start up graphics appears the replacement part is installed correctly. Hold the power button to turn the phone off, and confirm the shut down on screen. Replace the metal shield and secure it with four phillips screws. Replace another small metal shield covering the battery connector; secure it with two phillips screws.

Reconnect the fingerprint sensor. Replace the small connector bracket over top.

Close the phone starting at the top and gently squeeze around the perimeter until the front assembly snaps in place. Replace two pentalobe screws at the bottom. and we are done!

Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Using both hands reconnect the video cable. Close the connector’s bracket. Secure it with a clear tape.

CAUTION! It is very important not to force any of the connectors. You must not twist or slant the connector when plugging it in.

Make sure that the video cable stays in the correct position and lift the screen up aligning it with its mounting holes. Replace the four phillips screws. One in each corner. Replace the bezel. Start from the top. Press firmly snapping the
tabs back in place, than move down pushing the bezel to the bottom side. Turn the laptop over and make sure that the bezel is snapped in near the hinge cover.

Press the power button and if the start up graphics appears the LCD screen is installed correctly, and we are done!

This is a guide on replacing the front assembly on the Apple iPhone X.

For the installation process we’ll need the following tools:

- Heat Gun
- Plastic pick
- Tweezers
- Suction cup
- Small tri-wing screwdriver
- Small flat screwdriver
- Small phillips screwdriver

The front assembly consists of the frame, the glass digitizer and the LCD screen. You will need to replace the entire front assembly if any of these components are broken.

Turn the phone off by holding the power and the Up-volume buttons and confirm the shut down on screen.

Remove two pentalobe screws at the bottom of the phone.

Use a heat gun to warm the adhesive around the perimeter of the iPhone. Place a suction cup near the bottom edge and while providing some tension insert a plastic pick between the display assembly and the main body. Gently move the plastic pick around the perimeter separating the display assembly from the main body. Please note, there are cables located near the right edge of the phone and there are hooks at the top edge holding the display assembly. Keeping that in mind unlatch the top edge and open the phone to the right side.

Now we have access to the connector shield. Using a Tri-wing screw driver carefully remove 5 screws securing the large shield. Remove the shield.

Using a plastic pick open the battery connector and bend the lead away. Next pick open the front speaker and sensors connector, the touch digitizer connector and the LCD connector. Separate the screen assembly from the main body. We will be replacing the waterproofing adhesive, so all of the original adhesive needs to be removed from the edge of the phone. Use a plastic pick to clean out the adhesive from the edge.

The replacement display assembly does not contain the front speaker and sensors, we will be transferring them from the original display. Remove three tri-wing screws and unfold the speaker. Using a plastic pick carefully pick out the sensors from its placement and separate the entire garland from the display.

Take out the new assembly and place the sensors in their appropriate locations, fold over the speaker and replace the three tri-wing screws.

The waterproofing adhesive comes on convenient plastic sheets cut to the shape of the edge of the phone. Remove the backing plastic of the adhesive shape. Apply the shape to the perimeter of the phone and press the adhesive into place. Carefully begin removing the plastic making sure that the adhesive stays on the perimeter of the phone.

Put the new display assembly to the right edge of the phone and reconnect the touch digitizer connector, the LCD connector, then the front speaker and sensors connector. Carefully reconnect the battery connector. At this point the new display can be tested, put the display down and press the power button. The start up graphics appears and we can shut down the phone.

Replace the large connector shield and secure it with 5 tri-wing screws.

To properly close the display keep the position of the top edge latches in-mind and start by latching the top edge. Then firmly press around the perimeter of the phone snapping the display assembly in-place.

Replace two pentalobe screws near the lighting connector. Turn the phone on and we're done!

The front assembly consists of the frame, the glass digitizer and the LCD screen. You will need to replace the entire front assembly if any of these components are broken.

Turn the phone off by holding the power and the up-volume buttons and confirming the shut down on screen.

of the iPhone. Place a suction cup just above the home button. Insert a plastic pick between the display assembly and the main body. Gently move the plastic pick around the perimeter separating the display assembly from the main body. Once separation is achieved open the phone to a right angle.

Now we have access to the small metal shield which secures the battery connector and two front assembly connectors. The shield is held in place with four phillips screws. Most screws in this iPhone are different sizes so you’ll need to keep in mind the position of each screw. Using a phillips screwdriver remove the four screws. Remove the metal shield. Use a plastic pick do disconnect the battery and bend its lead away.

Next step is to open the camera connector at the top of the iPhone. The connector is secured with another small metal shield. Remove three phillips screws holding the shield in place. Unfortunately in this case the third phillips screw is completely stripped, but we are still able to bend it away to disconnect the connector. Using a plastic pick open the three connectors attaching the display assembly and set the main body aside.

Now we have to transfer some important components from the old front assembly onto the new one. Namely:
The Front camera and the speaker box, the big LCD shield and the home button.

Start with the home button. There are four tri-wing screws that hold a small metal shield in place. Remove the screws and put the shield aside. Using a plastic pick open the home button connector. Using a plastic pick gently pry off the glued flex cable. Remove the home button.

Next step is to remove the upper metal shield which is covering the speaker box ribbon cable with the front camera and the proximity sensors. Remove the three phillips screws. Set the shield aside. Remove two screws holding the speaker box. Set the speaker aside.

Remove another phillips screw and using a plastic pick gently separate the ribbon cable with the front camera and the proximity sensors from the frame.
Set it aside.

Now we can remove the big metal shield. There are three tri-wing screws on the right side and three tri-wing screws on the left side.
Remove the screws. Using plastic pick detach the big metal shield from the flex cables underneath. Set it aside. Set aside the old screen assembly.

At this stage we are ready to transfer these components onto the new front assembly. Take the new replacement part and place it on the desk. Press down the front assembly cables and cover them with the big metal shield. Replace six tri-wing screws. Three on the left side, and three on the right side.

Take the ribbon cable and carefully guide each component into its slot. Replace the one phillips screw. Replace the speaker box. Secure it with a two phillips screws at the bottom. Guide the camera into its slot and cover it with the small metal shield. Secure the shield with three phillips screws.

Next step is to replace the home button. Insert the button with its cable into the hole from the front. Make sure that the home button cable goes under the connector. Reconnect it to the front assembly. Cover the button and its connector with the small metal shield and secure it with four tri-wing screws.

This is the waterproofing adhesive, it comes in convenient plastic sheets shaped to the perimeter of the phone. Separate the back-plastic and apply the shape to the perimeter of the phone. Remove the second back-plastic sheet. Then carefully remove the remaining strips of plastic, making sure that the adhesive is positioned properly on the edge.

Do the same actions in the reverse order to reassemble.

This is the replacement display assembly, it does not contain the front speaker and sensors, we will be transferring them from the original display. Remove three tri-wing screws and unfold the speaker. Using a plastic pick carefully pick out the sensors from its placement and separate the entire garland from the display. Theres a small round gasket underneath that can also be transferred.

Take out the new assembly and transfer the small round gasket. Place the sensors in their appropriate locations, fold over the speaker and replace the three tri-wing screws.

This is a guide on replacing an LCD and a touch screen on a
Lenovo IdeaaPad Flex 14 inch.

To begin turn off the laptop by holding the power slider on the side for 5 seconds and disconnect the power cord.

Flip the screen over into a tablet mode and place the laptop down on the keyboard.

Using a plastic pick tool separate the bottom screen cover.

Remove four phillips screws holding the bottom edge of the display assembly.

The display assembly is held in-place with two strips of double-sided adhesive, and there are two plastic pull tabs that should theoretically allow you to pull the glue out, by carefully stringing it along like stuck-on chewing gum from under the table. Unfortunately this official method almost never works on used devices because the adhesive hardens over time and becomes brittle.

Luckily the adhesive itself is very susceptible to heat, so we will use a heat gun, but you can use a typical hair dryer. Begin warming up the back cover, making sure that the surface of warm to the touch but not burning.

Insert a plastic pick into the edge and move it up to the top corner fo the display assembly to apply some tension on adhesive and continue heating the back cover. Grab a second plastic pick and insert it in the corner as you continue to separate the top edge.

Use the plastic picks as wedges while heating the adhesive. Separate the top edge and keep it wedged with picks. Continue heating the back cover making sure that heat is being evenly spread. Gently move both picks along two edges to the bottom of the display, and separate out the display assembly.

The two long and odd shaped strips of adhesive are left on the original LCD.

Next we will remove top edge hardware: microphones, camera and light sensors.

Using a plastic pick carefully extract the microphone board, then webcam board and the connectors board all together as one piece. Gently peel off the flex cable and set the whole garland away from the LCD.

Using a plastic pick lift the clear tape securing the video connector and using both hands disconnect the video connector from the LCD. Peel protective tape from the touchscreen connector and disconnect it.

At this point the new screen can be installed. Place the assembly at the bottom edge and reconnect the touch connector, secure it with tape. Align the video cable and using both hands plug it into the LCD and secure the clear tape.

CAUTION! It is very important not to force any connectors. As well you must not twist or slant the connector when plugging it in.

Place the auxiliary cable into the channel guides. Stretch the flex cable over the LCD and place the connector board into its spot on the display assembly. Align the securing tape to its respective spot. Replace the webcam assembly, then replace the final microphone board. Secure all tape and flex cables back to the LCD. Stretch the main flex cable taught from the connector board all the way down the LCD making sure the slack of the cable is at the bottom edge.

Your new display is likely to come with no adhesive. We offer standard double-sided tape for such repairs on our site. You would need to place new adhesive on the LCD and make sure to remove any old adhesive from the back cover before reinstalling the new screen.

Insert the top edge of the display assembly into the back cover, clip in the sides and the bottom corners. Place the display into tablet mode and using a super fine microfibre cloth apply pressure to the display along the edges to catch the adhesive.

Replace the four phillips screws. Replace the bottom plastic cover. Reconnect the power, turn on the laptop, and we're done!

Start removing the bezel. Insert the pick between plastic and glass and gently separate the bezel. Using both hands go around the perimeter unsnapping the tabs underneath. Separate the hinge
cover. Open the laptop fully and remove the bezel.

The LCD screen is glued to the plastic cover. We need a Heat Gun to soften the glue.
Warm up the left and right sides of the top cover. Using plastic pick start gently separating the LCD screen. Use the Heat Gun repeatedly on both sides to make sure the glue is soft. Separate the
LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Use an X-acto knife to remove exess pieces of glue.

Use a metal pick or knife to peel off the clear tape securing the video cable. Use Tweezers to open the
connector’s bracket. Disconnect the video cable. Discard the old LCD screen.

Take the new LCD screen and place it on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the
connector’s bracket. Secure it with a clear tape.

CAUTION! It is very important not to force any connectors. As well you must not twist or slant the connector when plugging it in

Lift the screen up. Before we continue it is better to check if the screen is working. Press the
power button and if start up graphics appears we can finish the installation process. Turn the laptop off.

Replace the bezel. Start from the bottom closing the hinge cover. Then go around the perimeter snapping the tabs back in place. Close the laptop and make sure that the bezel is in place at the bottom of the screen.

Turn the laptop on. And we are done!
