This machine was designed to be a more affordable version of their NBS 6040. It uses DM542 drivers with 76mm Nema 23 stepper motors to drive 1605 ball screws between the 20mm linear tubes on the y axis, as well as linear rails and a 1605 ball screw on the x axis, and linear rails with a 1204 ball screw on the z axis. The frame is made of thick, heavy gauge aluminum plate and extrusions, and can be completely assembled in roughly 20 min to form a max work volume of 500x400x95mm.NymoLabs also developed their own trim router to use as a spindle with this machine which is rated for 710W so it has a lot more power compared to stock spindles provided with other machines that I've reviewed recently, and it has an adjustable speed range of 7000-30000 rpm, as well as an ER11 collet chuck and a soft start feature. This machine uses a corexy arrangement w/ dual z axis motors mounted to an all metal frame, klipper firmware and input shaping to maintain accuracy at speeds of up to 600mm/s. The structure is enclosed w/ active chamber heating up to 60°C, and the print head includes a direct drive extruder with hardened steel gears, filament detection and tangle sensors, and an all metal hot end with a bimetal nozzle that can print at temperatures up to 350°C, so you can work with a wide variety of common filaments like PLA and PETG as well as high temperature engineering filaments like, nylon, polycarbonate, carbon fiber and more.The hot bed can reach 120°C with a flexible PEI build plate for good adhesion and easy removal, and it has two sensors attached below for z axis calibration and bed levelling to ensure a perfect first layer with every print. NEW Electric Freeride Dirt bike - Upcoming Project #Shorts James Biggar 2023-01-16 | Hi folks. This is just a quick preview of the upcoming electric freeride dirt bike project. The design is kind of a mash up between a Sur Ron and an LMX freeride bike. I tried to incorporate the features that I liked best about both bikes into this one. The motor will be the QS 165 that's rated for 5kw continuous and 8kwp, 5300 rpm and 33ft-lb of torque at the shaft. It'll be coupled with the ND72530 Far Driver controller and powered by a removable 65V, 36Ah li-ion battery. It'll have a 7:1 sprocket ratio driving an 18" rear wheel which should produce a top speed of around 85 km/h and over 230ft-lbs of max torque. The wheelbase will be 51" and the rake angle will be 27°. It'll have DNM M-200S forks in the front and an RCP-2S rear shock controlled by a progressive dampening linkage to provide 8" of travel for both wheels. The total curb weight should be somewhere between 120-130lbs.I had to put the street bike build on hold after discovering an unexpected overrated capacity issue with the cells that I originally chose for the battery when I began testing and prepping to build it. I won't get back to work on it until I get replacement cells ordered and delivered, so in the meantime I'll be getting a head start on building this dirt bike.
