If you've followed me for a while, you know that hand sewing and I are not BFFs, but sometimes, for the most seamless pattern, whipstitching crochet ends together is the best seaming option.
When it came to the textured pattern of this ear warmer, which is a modified Even Berry Stitch, I did try out some other methods before ultimately landing on the whipstitch. I did not try the Mattress stitch, but I think it may be a better option for a seamless pattern. I will try it on my chunky weight yarn version and share an update.
💛 For added security, I always whipstitch twice into my stitches as I work across. One stitch goes directly below, and then one stitch goes diagonally to the stitch. If you feel comfortable with just one pass in each stitch, then that's all you need.
💛 You can also change the appearance of the seam by working with the wrong sides facing out and right sides together as you stitch. I choose the other way.
