This video will show you how to take a screenshot on an Apple Computer (This works the same on any version of the Mac operating system since Tiger).

There are a few different ways to take a screenshot depending on your preferences.

First, if you just want to take a screenshot of your entire screen, hit command+shift+3. You will hear a camera shutter sound and your screenshot will appear on the desktop. You can edit this screenshot in any photo editing software.

Also, if you want to just take a picture of a section of the screen you can press command+shift+4. This will turn your mouse cursor into a crosshair, which you can just drag around the section of the screen that you want to take a screenshot of. Just click in the first corner, and when you let go after drawing a box it will automatically take a screenshot of that section and save it to the desktop.

If you want the screenshot saved to your clipboard (the same way you would copy then paste text) so that you can paste it to a photo editing software before you save it, then hit control+command+shift+3 or (control+command+shift+3 for just taking a screenshot of a section). You will hear the same camera shutter sound, but you will have to open a photo software (or a text editor) and hit command+V to paste it there.
