The most effective way to remove synced Google contacts is to disable contact syncing or clear contact storage on your device, combined with deleting unwanted contacts from your Google account if needed.
Method 1 — Disable Contact Syncing
Open Settings on your Android device.
Navigate to Accounts (sometimes labeled as Accounts & Backup or Users & accounts).
Select your Google account.
Tap Sync Account or look for Account sync.
Toggle off Contacts to stop future contacts from syncing
Optionally, log out from any other Google accounts you no longer want synced.
Note: Disabling contact sync prevents future additions but does not remove contacts already synced.
Method 2 — Clear Contact Storage on the Device
Go to Settings → Apps → See all apps → Show system apps.
Scroll to Contacts Storage and tap Storage & cache.
Select Clear storage or Clear data. Confirm the action
