A 30 day social fast? Tatiana takes us through looking into embracing mindfulness in a more analogue life, in the same way, we would look at a yoga or meditation practise.
We feel the need to always be online and we seem to pride ourselves in answering emails straight away, which could be at the cost of our relationships.
Why do we need to approach mindfulness in the digital age? You'll be a better human, you'll be a better creative, you'll be a better boss or colleague.
How? When Tatiana's colleagues at work are having a hard time thinking or being creative, she will tell them to go for a walk, instead of simply staring at the screen.
Tatiana is a big fan of making a list for the day, during her morning routine, however, she doesn't put it on her phone, she will write it down. This is so, she can really connect with her thoughts and set herself up for the day. Her friend does a do not disturb Sunday, where she will completely disconnect, in order to send all of that time with her partner.
The real why, JOMO. The joy of missing out. Who knows what you will miss if you're not on Twitter for one day? You can take part in the things you normally wouldn't outside of social and you can reconnect your soul.

Tatiana Oliveira Simonian is Global Head of Cross Category Marketing and Experiential at Amazon Music. She has been a creative marketer at some of the biggest brands in digital and entertainment including Twitter and Disney.
A former touring musician and music journalist, she brings a unique perspective as both a maker and marketer. As a Latina in tech, she is passionate about how we not only break through boundaries as creative marketers - but also, how we break through boundaries of gender and diversity. She is the founder of Womentorship.net - a compendium of mentorship stories for young women/people of colour as well as a meetup community.
Tatiana is a passionate advocate for mindfulness in the world of digital: exploring how we maintain our connection to one another, to ourselves and to our surroundings in a day and age of sensory overload.

![The Scientific Argument Against Elon Musks VR Simulation Hypothesis | Andrew Pontzen
Professor Andrew Pontzen introduces how computer simulations have revolutionised our understanding of the universe, delivering astounding insights into the origin of galaxies, stars, black holes, planets and life.
Drawing on themes in his non-specialist book The Universe in a Box, published in June to critical acclaim, he looks at the way that simulations are blurring traditional distinctions between theory and experiment, and allowing humanity to collaborate on a new digital canvas to sketch our cosmic past, present and future.
And finally, he addresses the controversial idea that reality may itself be a simulation conducted by some far-advanced super-civilization.
Andrew Pontzen is a professor of cosmology at University College London.
He has written for the New Scientist, BBC Sky at Night and BBC Science Focus; lectured at the Royal Institution; appeared on BBC, Amazon Prime and Discovery Channel documentaries; and contributed to BBC Radio 4 programmes including Inside Science and The Curious Cases of Rutherford & Fry.
Computer simulations are a major part of his research which spans cosmology, physics and computation. His first book, The Universe in a Box is due to be published in June.
