This recipe is inspired by one of my vintage Cookbooks, Better Homes and Gardens New Crockery Cooker Cook Book. It is super simple and you can use any cake mix although it is not recommended to use the small 1-quart crockpot. Follow the directions on the cake mix, spray the jars with a spray, fill 1/4 to 1/2 full and cover with foil. Crumple some foil in the bottom of the crockpot and add a little water then place the jars in the crockpot cover with the lid and bake on medium-high heat for 2 3/4-3 hours. It does work well the cakes were moist and tasted great.😋 And it doesn't heat your house up in the summer.🤩
