Today I'm going to make my own natural brushes with plants I found on the ground at the Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado! Mr. Jane and I recorded this in haunted room 217! I'm also going to demonstrate a simple, off-the-top-of-my-head watercolor painting using my handmade paint brushes! This is a great way to create a piece of art that will always remind you of a trip or location that means a lot to you. This is also a perfect project to celebrate Earth Day!

I'm painting on Canson cold-press, 140lb watercolor paper.
The paints I used are Dr. Ph. Martin's Hydrus liquid watercolors in:
• Payne's Grey
• Cobalt Violet
• Gamboge

I also used Liquitex Acrylic Ink in:
• Titanium White

Other materials used in the painting:
• Windsor and Newton Granulation Medium
• Rubbing alcohol

To make your brushes, you'll need:
• An assortment of plants and/or flowers
• Sticks for paint brush handles
• String or thread
• Scissors
