Create stuffed angel ornaments from fat quarters of holiday fabrics. These are fun and easy!
You Can Make This!
Supplies:
Nine Fat Quarters (or more) of your favorite small-scale holiday fabrics -
(I used the "Sparkle All the Way" collection from Dear Stella purchased from Brewstitched.com)
Paper and pencil for pattern,
50-weight non-fusible Pellon interfacing for foundations,
Polyester fiberfill stuffing,
Needle and strong thread (quilting thread is great!)
One 1-inch wooden ball knob for each angel,
For face: Woodburning tool, Red acrylic paint, Bamboo skewer, Fine-point permanent brown marker, cosmetic blush, cotton swab, paper plate,
One 4x6-inch index card for each angel,
Hair yarn of your choice - I used loopy mohair in natural,
Red/white Baker's Twine,
1/16-inch wide ivory satin ribbon,
Needle to accommodate ribbon and twine,
Thimble (optional)
Small embellishments such as star stickers,
20 gauge gold wire for halo, Wire Cutters,
Scrapbooking paper (card stock) for wings,
Compass or die cutter to cut circles for wings,
Hot glue gun, Glue sticks,
Sewing machine, Thread to match fabrics.
