The weakest point of a computer when it comes to attack from virus's, trojan, being taken over (someone else gaining control of your PC) is not due to anti virus not being used but because they have been set up with a single account which is an administrator account. Doing this leaves your computer wide open to attack. I show in this video how I have secured my system after it was initially set up with just a single administrator account. Doing this cuts out 90% of the risk of having the PC compromised.
It is advisable to use a good anti virus such as AVG or Avast also.
