Samsung Galaxy S26 Camera: Fix Dual Recording Separate Files on S26 Plus and S26 Ultra With Easy Steps
How to Save Dual Videos Separately on Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra Camera and Fix Issues
Learn how to fix problems when Dual Video Recording is not saving the front and rear camera videos as two separate files on the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera.

The Galaxy S26 series supports Dual recordings, allowing two cameras to record video simultaneously. The Camera settings include an option to save the recordings as separate files instead of saving the result as one previewed video.

To check the setting, open the Camera app and switch to Video mode. Tap the Quick Controls icon and select Dual recordings. Then open Quick Controls again, tap Settings, and look for Dual recordings. Select Save in separate files. After enabling this option, record a short test video and check Gallery for the individual video files.

If you cannot find Dual recordings, remember that Samsung integrated Dual rec into the Video menu starting with One UI 8.5. Open Camera, select Video, tap Quick Controls, and select the Dual recordings icon. Samsung also provides a Camera Assistant option to enable Dual rec as an additional camera mode.

If the separate-files option is not working, first confirm that Save in separate files is selected before starting the recording. Then capture a short test clip and check Gallery after stopping the recording. Avoid changing the setting while a recording is already in progress.

Make sure your Galaxy S26 series phone has sufficient free storage. Saving two independent video files requires additional storage compared with saving only a combined previewed recording. Also restart the phone and check for available software and Camera app updates if the problem continues.

If Dual recording itself is missing, open Camera Settings and check Camera Assistant. Samsung's current support instructions explain that Dual rec can be enabled under Additional modes when available.

The Galaxy S26 user guide specifically states that Dual recordings can be configured to save as previewed in one file or as separate files.

If the option is enabled but separate files still are not created, test another supported camera combination and record a short clip. If the issue continues across different configurations, restart the device and consider submitting an error report through Samsung Members.

The exact Camera menus and available options can vary depending on the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, or S26 Ultra model, One UI version, Camera app version, and region.
