Most people would use a tyre shop to do this, but if you are a bit mad on DIY, like me, or you can’t get to a tyre (tire) garage, or you like fixing, or you have no money, or you want a good permanent fix for a leaking car tyre / wheel that is leaking around the rim, then this video is for you!
Old alloys wheels are prone to corroding and then leaking air around the edge where the tyre sits. In this video I push back the tyre from the rim by an inch so that it can be cleaned and resealed. It has worked well for me the few times I have done it. Some times when I asked a tyre shop to do the same they didn’t do a good enough job with it still leaking, hence why I DIY.
If you have a leak around the valve, here is a quick fix for that as well:
