I don't have my own chickens yet to feed with the Black Soldier Fly larvae coming out of my BSFL composting bin...so I take them to a friend with a flock of 12. Black Soldier Fly larvae are incredible composters, transforming many pounds of food waste into organic, fat-and-protein-rich feed for chickens and fish. I use my soldier bin to convert food waste from a local restaurant and my own family's kitchen scraps into chicken feed...a great way to keep food waste out of the landfill and create a beneficial product.
