Boreas's Shadow is a unique boss that is only available to be fought by people who own Varka. This is a first for Genshin Impact. Boreas's Shadow is a modified version of the Andrius Lupus Boreas Weekly Trounce Domain fight. In order to fight Boreas's Shadow, you must first defeat The Homesick Lone Wolf that is guarding the entrance to this encounter.
Boreas's Shadow is very similar to Andrius and only functionally differs as an enemy in a few ways. Boreas's Shadow has a few attacks that Andrius does not, namely a few new long-range attacks when you are at a distance from it: a double icicle homing shot, and a long range breath laser. Aside from this, it has one new large AoE slam attack that can be easily stepped.
The main gimmick of Boreas's Shadow is that you may only fight it as Varka solo. At 60% HP, it will transition into a new phase in which it will spawn 3 platforms that you must Varka's Hold Skill to jump on top of and gather the 3 pyro particles on top. When you gain 3 pyro particles, Varka will be able to use his Elemental Skill and gain Pyro infusion which will allow you to melt the boss and trigger the next phase.
In this next phase, Boreas's Shadow will spawn The Homesick Lone Wolf and you must defeat it before the fight will continue. Pyro particles will spawn every so often so you can swirl Pyro to clear its mechanic. Once The Homesick Lone Wolf is defeated, Boreas's Shadow will appear and give you a lengthy DPS phase as a reward. After this point, Pyro particles will continue to spawn and you may defeat Boreas's Shadow as normal.

Why basket? Well because all you need to do is get 1 catch and you have the game in your hands.
Also, because the shape is similar to a basket when you do it.
Some notes about this step:
~The timing is a bit strict when it comes to the double tap, since floating costs MP and losing MP when doing a step is NOT a goal you should have.
~Should only be used when an opponent is either Stunned or hit with a Tier 2 Hitstun Level or higher.
~Very very lag sensitive, only viable when against opponents with good connection
~I recommend mastering using the Bounce as a catching tool first before learning this step, This will allow you to check-mate your opponent.
~Useless in PvE.
~Can be done in one direction.
~An extremely effective normals guarding step. This whole step is 1 giant hitbox and cannot be punished with melee attacks without giving the opponent a trade")
