This video uses the PhET simulation "Build an Atom" to show the make up of elements 1-10. The video discusses how to determine the number of protons, neutrons and electrons. Additionally, the video shows how the periodic table can be used for main group elements to determine the number of valence electrons which determine how elements react and form bonds with other elements.
