This is Round 5 of 7. Follow along each day for all of the parts or check out my Terran series, #elkccycc_terran
✨️ SC = US Single Crochet
✨️ DC = US Double Crochet
✨️ In Red (or whichever is your main color).
❤️ From the right side, or front side.
❤️ SC into the first SC, DC into each of the next 2 skipped stitches from 2 rounds below, SC into each of the next 3 SC, SC into the next chain space, chain 2, SC into the same chain space, (SC into each of the next 3 SC, DC into each of the next 2 skipped stitches from 2 rounds below, SC into each of the next 3 SC, SC into the next chain space, chain 2, SC into the same chain space) 3x, SC into each of the last 2 SC.
❤️ Slip stitch join to the 1st SC of the round - if you will use the 2nd colorway for Round 7, then you'll want to carry up the yarn along the back.
✨️ To carry the yarn, insert your hook into the 1st SC, drop the working yarn to the back, grab the tail end of the previous color, tighten it down in case it's come loose and then yarn over with it so it sits on top of your hook. Grab the working yarn of your current color and complete the slip stitch. Chain 1 to secure the previous color.
✨️ Finish with 40 SC and 4 chain 2 spaces.
🧶 For this square, I am using Lion Brand Pound of Love that we carry in our yarn shop, YarnCraftsandCoffee.com, and a H8/5mm crochet hook that I custom ordered from SiennasBowtique on Etsy, but you can use any yarn with the respective size crochet hook.
