Tiny e-readers are starting to make a lot more sense.
In this video I take another look at the Xteink X3 and Xteink X4: two very small E Ink readers designed to sit in a pocket, a wallet, or even on the back of a phone. They are not Kindle replacements in the usual sense. They are simple ESP-based devices for DRM-free books, quick reading sessions, and slightly odd little workflows.
The X4 is larger and has USB-C. The X3 is smaller, cuter, and fits much better on the back of a phone, but uses pogo-pin charging. I also talk about CrossPoint Reader, community firmware, the default software, battery life, loading books by microSD, and why this kind of tiny reader might become much more common.
