Make your game world react to the player! In Part 57 of the Unreal Engine 5 Tutorial Series, we add the essential visual polish that shows our Teleporter coming to life.
In this video, you’ll learn how to use Blueprints to dynamically change an Actor's appearance during gameplay. We’ll cover how to swap a "cold" material for a "powered-on" emissive material when a battery is connected, creating a clear visual cue for the player. We also dive back into our Enumeration setup to change the color of our text prompts on the fly, ensuring our UI is as reactive as our environment. These "finishing touches" are what separate a prototype from a polished game experience!
