In this video, we'll show you how to build a mini greenhouse from recycled windows, cedar, and painted pine. We start by testing the old windows for lead paint, then repair them with Bondo, reglaze the glass, and give them a fresh coat of primer and paint. From there, we build a sturdy raised garden box with cedar 1x6s before constructing the greenhouse top — a hinged, peaked roof made entirely from the refurbished windows.
The greenhouse is designed in two separate sections so you can build it in your garage or basement shop and move it to its final outdoor location. Whether you're looking to extend your growing season, protect your plants from the elements or just keep the rabbits out, this project has you covered.
