The Sundrop Flower's Dark Side: How It Created A Psychotic Nightmare In Mother Gothel...| Tangled

Mother Gothel may have had the voice of an angel, but Disney also showed that she had a heart made out of stone. But like most dark and dreary characters, it’s likely that Gothel didn’t start out that way. In fact, if you take into account the origin story that was created for her by Serena Valentino who collaborated with Disney to create the Villains book series, it might have actually been the same magical plant that Gothel was obsessed with that turned life into such a psychotic nightmare.
