Today we're checking out the Windone RM7 mini electric dirt bike and putting it through real off-road testing on trails and pits around the old Lake George antimony mine here in New Brunswick.
The RM7 is powered by a 2200W peak electric motor with a removable 48V 22.5Ah lithium battery, hydraulic suspension, hydraulic disc brakes, and selectable riding modes. Windone claims up to 60 km/h top speed and 72 km of range — so in this video we're going to see how it actually performs in the real world with a 190lb rider on rough terrain.
At around $1800 CAD, the RM7 sits in an interesting spot between an e-bike and a proper dirt bike. It’s not a full-size trail machine, but for beginners, teens, backyard riding, pump tracks and casual off-road fun, it might make a lot of sense.
