Walks around Shedd are a great time for green-winged macaws Poblano and Serrano to practice their natural behaviors, meet guests and experience new opportunities for mental stimulation and physical activity.

These two are always a joy to see — and hear! As incredibly social animals, macaws mimic a variety of sounds, including those coming from other macaws and their caretakers. Keep your ears out for their iconic squawks, honks and “hellos” on your next visit.
