This clip looks at overview of how the NAACP challenged segregation in education in the southern states through the Brown Verses the Education Board of Topeka and the Little Rock 9. This video clip has been uploaded for educational purposes and is suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5.
It should be noted by students of history, that in order to undermine the gains maded by the Civil Rights movement, that many Southern States turned schools like 'Central High' into fee paying private schools in order to get around the Supreme Court Ruling in Brown V Education Board.
