Hotel safes, or any of these cheap little electronic safes for that matter or rarely any protection for your valuables. There's a load of different exploits for them, making them, er..not safe. This one simply bounces the spring-loaded solenoid locking mechanism out of the latch, and if you turn the door open at the right time, as you saw, it opens. Shocking really.
