This short and practical tutorial shows you the proper export workflow from Blender to Unity, including how to pack textures, fix rotation problems, and ensure your models import at the correct scale.
What you'll learn:
- How to export FBX from Blender with correct settings
- How to fix Blender axis and rotation issues in Unity
- How to pack and include all textures in your export
- Unity import settings that just work
- Clean workflow with no external plugins
We'll learn:
- How to show the direction indicator in front of everything else
- How to make it point in the right direction
- How to show the distance between the player and the target
#unity #unitytutorial #gamedev
- In this step-by-step Unity tutorial, I’ll show you how to:
- Set up 8-directional movement with the keyboard
- Use Unity’s Character Controller for smooth 3D motion
- Align movement relative to the camera for a modern feel
- Keep that iconic retro horror vibe that made old games so tense
Whether you're working on a horror jam, a nostalgic project, or just experimenting with classic game mechanics — this tutorial will help you nail that creepy, tank-like movement feel.

What’s new in this devlog?
Smoother movement & physics – Variable jump height, acceleration, and proper swimming!
Inventory system – Pick up, drop, and equip items, paving the way for multiple weapons!
Respawn changes – Enemies now come back over time instead of per-zone resets.
Quests & dialogues – Choices will have real consequences, some of which you can’t take back.
Art improvements – Updated items, trees, Eric’s house, and of course… the fluffy wolfbear.
The world of Elengrad is becoming more dynamic, and I can’t wait to show you how it all evolves! What do you think of the changes so far? Let me know in the comments! 💬

In this remake, I'm addressing past design issues, expanding the game world to 35 areas (with optional zones), introducing multiple endings based on your choices, and enhancing the storyline to emphasize the theme: "Nothing is black or white; don't judge too fast."
To stay motivated and keep you updated, I'll be sharing regular Dev Logs documenting the development process. Currently, the character controller is complete, zone transitions are functional, and the combat system foundation is set—all built within Unity.
I'm eager to hear your thoughts! Are you more interested in the technical aspects or the enriched lore and story details? Let me know in the comments below.

Remember, a smooth workflow can make a world of difference. Don't forget to subscribe for more Unity tips and tricks that save you time and keep your game development on track.
See you in the next video, where we continue to conquer coding challenges together!
We're focusing on a practical example: platform movement. But here's the twist—we're not teaching platform movement. Instead, we're zeroing in on the configuration magic. Discover how to create different property variants, test them in real-time, and keep your changes even after the game stops. No more lost settings or forgotten initial values.
What's on the agenda?
- Understanding Scriptable Objects: Moving beyond MonoBehaviour to simplify your game's architecture.
- Crafting and organizing Scriptable Object configs: Step-by-step instructions for a cleaner, more manageable development process.
- Applying configurations for real-time testing and adjustments: Make your development workflow as dynamic as your games.
This tutorial is all about making Unity game development straightforward and more enjoyable. Subscribe for more insights, and let's make game development a bit easier, together. Have a fantastic day! Love you!
In today's quick video, we're going to solve a common problem you might face with Unity 2023. You start a new project and suddenly, you can't find the camera preview. No need to worry, I'll show you a simple way to bring it back, plus some extra cool features Unity added.
We'll learn how to get a first-person view and switch between different cameras easily. This tip will make working in Unity much smoother for you.
