FXHome just released a huge update of HitFilm, with a whole bunch of new and updated features. Lag has been greatly reduced and performance is now much better while editing, and they've added the text tool in the editor!

I've used this version of Hitfilm to edit this video, and I can honestly say that the performance increase has made a huge difference to the speed of editing in Hitfilm. As I've said in previous videos, my YouTube videos are fairly simple to edit, and Hitfilm doesn't have warp stabilising, markers, adjustment layers/grade layers in the editor or a clean method of pulling of speed ramping, which are really important things when editing more complex projects such as live action films. However, the two main things as mentioned in the title are indeed very huge and make it much easier to edit my YT videos - also the composite shot templates are very useful for titles and such.
