Hiking the Eagle Creek Trail to Tunnel Falls - Oregon
I first saw pictures and then video of Tunnel Falls years ago. I think it was the first hike in Oregon that went onto my hiking wish list. I didn't really do any research on it since I live in Arizona and figured I would probably never see it in person.
But that all changed. Tina loves trees, mountains and forests. She was born and raised in Arizona and met her quota of saguaro cactus a long time ago. So she picked Oregon as our big trip for the year. I do a lot of the research, but for this trip she did most of it.....I just said there's one thing I need to see; Tunnel Falls.
Once it became apparent that this would be a reality, I started researching and just got more and more excited.
Of course, it was already on her list before I even made this request. The reason is that Tunnel Falls is on the legendary Eagle Creek Trail. That trail in itself is an amazing destination. Tunnel Falls is just one of many sights to see. It was actually the highlight of the trip for us both.
The reactions in this video are as genuine as they come. I left them a little less edited because there is no way to overstate how mind blowing it is to see this spot in person. I tried though; which is also why there is one long, extended and uncut shot of us walking through the tunnel itself. There's just nothing that I can do that would make this any more amazing than it is.
Anyway, that includes writing a long description about it, so we're done here.
