"Herbert West–Reanimator" is a short story by the American writer, H. P. Lovecraft. It was first serialized in February through July 1922 in the amateur publication Home Brew. The story concerns the gruesome adventures of Herbert West, a young scientist consumed with the ambition of bringing the dead back to life.
