HK51 (MP5 sized 7.62x51mm/.308 Power) High-Speed Video

HK51 H&K Stands for Heckler & Koch (pronounced: Heckler and Coke)

The HK51 is not an original H&K design, in fact, HK51 is a generic term, for an American design which took a G3 rifle (Gewehr 3) and shortened the 17.7 in barrel cut to just over 9 inches long, the cocking tube has been shortened, and yes, it takes MP5 forearms. it also takes a special retractable, piston style spring guide rod with full-length recoil spring so it will function in it's shortened form.

The system of operation in these guns is a delayed blowback, roller lock bolt system. The locking piece is manufactured with different angles that determine how long the action stays locked up, before allowing the

rollers to unlock the bolt, and start the action opening and rearward travel. The angles on the locking piece are determined by several factors, including the ammunition used and the length of the barrel. But the HK51 is using a custom ground locking piece with a non-standard angle developed particularly for this weapon.

In this video, you will see TWO HK51's one is a Vector V-51 Pistol and the other is a PTR-51 Pistol.

The HK51 pistol is MP5 Sized but shoots the 7.62x51mm (basically .308 Winchester).

Ammunition seen without a flash is Military Ball and ammunition seen with a flash is Wolf 150gr.
sadly I only had one magazine of Wolf remaining or we would have had much better footage and nobody was willing to donate any during COVID 19. So deal with it.... LOL J/K

Note: this shoot is two shooting dates as you can see by snow on most of the video, and then the HD shoot and the following HS. The final shoot with the HK51's was done very late in the day with setting sun (which makes high-speed nearly impossible) as you can see with the two last clips.

If we can acquire a sponsor to provide either Wolf 150gr. ammo or an ammo company to provide 150 grain (max) with slow-burning powder for the best possible FLASH, then we can provide one heck of a FUN high-speed video to see. until then we have this video and a couple older videos with plenty of Flash-and Action.

Shocking high-speed video of the FN FS2000 in action

This video allows users to see the FN FS2000 (FS2K) in slow-motion detail that you have not seen before, such as the shockwave after a round is fired starting at the barrel, and slowly moving to the rear. (everything is very firmly mounted, and it's an issue that is present in many Bullpups). One feature that I personally love is the forward ejection, and it's also displayed in this video. Finely, we captured the cartridge being loaded into the barrel in slow motion. this happens at such a high speed that you don't even get to see the spent case being directed into the ejection tube.

Please keep in mind that these first videos are simply our first time using the Chronos 1.4 high-speed camera, and we were using two of our four Canon lens. it was also less than ideal condition. lighting was sub-par, I forgot my mic. and it was 20 degrees F.

in the future, we will be featuring HD video as well as high-speed.

The XP-100 was one of the first handguns designed for long-range shooting and introduced the .221 Remington Fireball (often called .221 Fireball) and 6mm-223 6×45mm.

Weaponeer 2013-07-11 | *** Read me*** For years I have been using the cheap plastic tripods and they really effect the look of your videos, and your ability to shoot good video. last year I looked around at Best buy, and camera dealers locally and found nothing that I was looking for, and then turned to the online world to see if I could find one, and they pretty much started at a couple hundred and still didn't have all the features I wanted, and they were over my budget.

Now one thing to remember is I use Tripods for Cameras, as well as Chronographs, and the cheap tripods nearly blow over due to the muzzle blast, so a more stable base for your Chrono will save you time and money, not including making your videos look better.

Recently I was looking on eBay and found this AVT tripod and it's great. it's everything I wanted and more, and for a price I could afford. The tripod sold for $79.99 with free shipping, so when you think about it your really paying around $50 for this tripod plus shipping.

They even sell a smaller tripod then this model (this is the middle model), and they sell a larger tripod that will handle a 27 lb load.

I'm very happy with this tripod, it's so stable and solid and does not wiggle every time I touch the camera. The Pan and Tilt is smooth and adjustable, and a pleasure to use each and every day.

I also highly recommend the company I purchased it from. they were quick to chip, and it arrived in perfect condition. it's so good that I hope to show you additional tripods from them in the future.

Slow Motion Footage (300, 600, and 1200 Frames Per Second (FPS) High-Speed Video using our Casio EX-F1 Pro) and showing the X-PRODUCTS X-91 Drum and the X-FAL Drum (Both 7.62x51mm/308 Win).

The Firearms used were my V51/HK51 with German Hensoldt Fero Z24 Sniper Scope and STANAG 2424 claw mount (basically an MP5 Sized HK91 firing the 7.62x51 NATO rather than the 9mm). This is the one throwing the massive fireballs. The other one used is my Custom L1A1 (Australian FAL) with L2A2 S.U.I.T Trilux Scope.

The Xs Products Drums performed flawlessly (and always have based on prior testing done by us)

Please do not forget to give this video a thumbs up! All the muzzle flashes seen in the video are REAL, and have no modification to make them look bigger, and no special effects added or used.

The Video is not near as clear and in focus as I would like, because I was acting as the shooter as well as the camera man at the same time, so there is no way to actually see if I was in frame, much less in focus (which sucked). when shooting HD video, I normally have an external monitor on the camera, but it does not work with the high-speed video.

AUDIO: For those about to claim that they would rather hear the gun rather than music, keep in mind that high-speed cameras do not capture any sound at all. normal cameras capture the action at 24 to 30 frames per second with some HD cameras capturing video at 60 frames per second. But we were shooting at 300 FPS, 600 FPS, and 1200 FPS which means we can shoot video 20 times faster, and sound when played 20 faster is just unusable noise, so there is no sound by design of all high-speed cameras.

Shooting the FP-45 Liberator Pistol (45 ACP) aka resistance pistol of WWII (reproduction)

Weaponeer 2012-03-09 | *** READ ME *** This is a video showing high speed (slow motion) footage of the FP-45 Liberator Pistol being fired for the first time.

History:
The FP-45 Liberator was a pistol manufactured in the US for the military during World War II for use by resistance forces in occupied territories.

It was the most widely produced and distributed clandestine weapon of all time yet virtually none survive. Now, the nearly impossible hole in every WWII military pistol collection has finally been filled by VINTAGE ORDNANCE CO. LLC. For the first time collectors can own a superbly precise reproduction complete with packaging & instructions, for a fraction of the $2500-$5000 cost of the ultra-rare original. (It is estimated that fewer than 300 boxes survive making them even rarer than the pistol itself.) Our replica is copied from the original plans and corrected against the actual pistols. The existing plans are not correct and this is not uncommon with wartime designed materiel. Inconsistencies between the finished product and the plans are typically due to the urgency of production. Often design adjustments were made on the factory floor and never recorded on the drawings.

The reproduction has a rifled barrel and discrete markings to comply with Federal law and hopefully prevent it from being unscrupulously sold as an original antique. They mark the serial number on the front of the grip frame and their company information, model and caliber designation on the underside of the barrel behind the trigger guard. All characters are the minimum 1/16" high. Not readily apparent are the superior quality steels, heat treating and tighter tolerances of our reproduction. We have crafted the barrel, tube strap (breech ring) and cover slide (breech block) out of 1050 medium carbon cold rolled steel for greater strength. they have tightened the chamber tolerances to meet commercial standards and address the terrible headspace problems of the original guns that allowed them to batter themselves apart under repeated firing. The zinc cocking piece is cast from a denser alloy than the original for greater strength. Throughout we used close tolerance strip steels instead of cheaper commercial quality steel to insure the parts stayed as close as possible to the original specifications.

This FP-45 Liberator Pistol was designed to be fired (You should never fire the original Liberator Pistol they lose value, and can be damaged, which is something you don't want to do with a $2500 collectors pistol).

I really like this pistol... each shot is like stepping back in time, and it was NEVER designed to be accurate, this pistol is far more accurate than you think, but it shoots pretty high.

I'm likely the only person who has carried this pistol as a concealed weapon (CCW holder) in over 65 years.

Shooting the 50 BMG rifle, unsupported from the shoulder (on high speed video)

Weaponeer 2012-03-09 | I headed out to the range today to put some 50 BMG down range, mainly for the high speed video (slow motion). All rounds were fired from the shoulder while standing.

I setup this rifle up as a tactical high mobility anti-material Rifle. the rifle is only 2 inches longer than an M16A2 Rifle, so it's highly portable, and the magazine holds 5 rounds.

The Camera used was the Casio EX-F1 Pro

Review of the POSP 8x42D from Webyshops

8x42 POSP scopes make for a good match to SVD, PSL and NDM rifles that are intended for really pushing the limits of both the weapon platform and the cartridge at extended range. 8x42 scopes offer enough magnification for use at extended ranges without sacrificing much low light performance and field of view.

Similarly important is the "D" option. "D" in this case stands for "Diopter" and means that the eyepiece has adjustable focus and can be tweaked to better match the shooter's eye. For shooters who have a hard time bringing the reticle of other POSP scopes into focus, the "D" model is worth looking at.

These scopes have multi-coated lenses filled with nitrogen to prevent fogging and a red illuminated reticle, that uses inverted chevrons to provide aiming points for 100, 200, 300, 400, or, 900, 1000, 1100 & 1200 meters, depending on the model. The range calibrations are for both the AK 7.62x39 and SVD 7.62x54r which are measured in equal amounts of Minute of angle (MOA), they can be used effectively with any caliber of weapon, and many people have said it really shines with the 168 grain HPBT.

The 42mm objective lens allows significantly more light into the scope over the standard 24mm objective in the PSO-1 scope, which allows it to be used in slightly darker conditions.

The old scopes typically had a grey scratch-resistant coating, but newer scopes all have the flat black scratch-resistant coating, and this is some tough stuff. I have yet to chip any of this coating off any of my scopes, with the oldest scope being a decade old.

If you have an AK with a scope mount, then you really should buy a POSP 8x42 or better scope, if you have a PSL with an older and lower magnification scope, this makes for a great upgrade. For My PSL I actually mounted the 1P21 Zoom Scope (SVD scope), and I love the scope, but hate the price, and frankly the POSP can do just as good as my expensive Russian scope.

The 8x42D with the "D" meaning this scope has a built in diopter, brings this scope to the level of its western counterparts by enabling the scope to be tailored to the user. If you wear glasses, you can now adjust the etched lines (range grid, chevrons, etc) for perfectly sharp focus (something you could not do before with 8x42 POSP scopes.

The Trench Hawk Tomahawk by Cold Steel (review)

This Trench Hawk tomahawk was precision drop forged from 1055 Carbon steel. Drop forging is, without doubt, the best method of manufacture for any impact weapon, particularly one with a cutting edge.

During the forging process, a metal ingot is heated almost white-hot and then formed into shape in a series of progressive dies. The large steel dies are fixed to enormous compressed air hammers. Each die hammers the hot metal into a gradually more finished shape. The steel is kneaded and compressed into a completely homogenous mass making the grain structure uniform and minimizing gas pockets or other imperfections that can ruin the construction of a hand forged hawk. This is why most good axes, hatchets, and hammers are drop forged.

This hawk was differentially heat treated. This means that the cutting edge and hammer face is fully hardened, while the balance is left relatively soft to absorb the shock of striking blows.

The handle of the Trench Hawk is also highly resistant to shock and impact and will withstand abuse that would easily break even a tough hickory handle. And, as an added benefit, is easily and cheaply replaced when finally worn out or broken from repeated throwing

All it takes is one stroke from either the vicious cutting edge or its brutal wedge shaped spike to end the fight, and if the party starts at longer range the Trench Hawk's twin "business ends" make an accurate throw a breeze since there's double the chance of a lethal hit. When used defensively, the Trench Hawk's cutting edge and spike also provide a big advantage, as either can be used for hooking or trapping and, like our Spike Hawk, their combined length can be used to parry or block an incoming blow.

357 Magnum Blazer in High Speed (Extra B Roll Footage)

Target Meister, Target Stand Destructive Testing and Review w/slow motion impacts

Weaponeer 2011-10-18 | *** READ ME *** This video contains the destructive testing of a set of Dirty Harry Target Stands made by Target Meister, as well a review on the target stand after a summers worth of intensive testing of this model of target stand.

As our subscribers know, we actually use the products we review for a considerably long time. This way we can find any issues with the products being tested. But in this case after some lengthy testing we thought it was best to test these fine stands to see if the tests can take the impact of bullets to see how well they hold up.

We actually started off with the rifles rather than the pistols, putting a couple full high cap mags from the AKM as well as the AR15 to use against the first stand to see how well it holds up, and the armor shields brushed off the AKM as well as the AR15 with only chipped paint to show for it. shots into the much lighter target base went right though at close range as expected, unless they were shallow angle impacts, in which case they were deflected with some dents but no penetration.

The stand was then shot until a round defected the armor and the upright holder. for this test a 308 bolt action was used for the test firing Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) ammunition (reloads), and it was fully expected to to shoot right though this without any problem at all (this load penetrates 1/2 inch steel at 200 yards) so it was a bit of a surprise that the first round DID NOT penetrate the armor shielding.

The second shot in the same place did considerable damage to the armor, but once again it did not penetrate the upright holder (as designed). The third round was able to penetrate through the armor, into the upright, and out the back with considerable force and velocity. So much so, the while the upright did have a hole in it, it could still be used (actually it would have been nearly impossible to have pulled out the 1x2 wood if this actually happened during use holding a target.

The second leg was used to test handgun ammunition to see how well the stand would hold up. after 50 rounds of 44 magnum fired out of the Henry Lever Action 44 Mag, there was no penetration of the armor. In fact even the welds were holding after direct impacts, but the steel in front of the welding had been under such stress after the 50 rounds at 25 and 10 yards that the metal was stretching and failing with a small split, but not enough to worry about. none of the armor or the welds failed!

shots fired into the stand to see what would happen, did not penetrate at low angle (impressive). We then went through another 100 rounds of 38 special +P as well as 357 Magnum, once again without failure.

Results: The Armor shielding on the stand was able to protect the stand (and investment) without damage unless you use the stand as a target with high power rifle ammunition.

Note: The stand was not destroyed because we didn't like them, it's actually the opposite. These stands are the best target stand we have yet tested, by far...

These stands can be set up to handle just one target like most stands, but it can be setup to hold a number of full size targets, all depending on the length of the 1x2 used (it takes five 1x2's to setup this stand for more than one target (you are limited only by the length of wood). This makes this stand the most useful and modular we have seen on the market, and as you can see... it holds up great to the occasional wild round missing the target and hitting the target stand.

Tripods are a big topic, and not one you can cover in 10 minutes, so the tutorial serves to educate the user of the basics of the most common tripods typically used today, and what works with video, what is not so good for video, and what is basically considered trash.

Audio Tip: Improving audio in videos for cameras without a Microphone input

Weaponeer 2011-10-18 | ***READ ME*** These days you can still find some models of camcorders that lack the ability to plug in an external microphone, and that would normally mean you could not improve your audio without upgrading to a more expensive camera, and in this economy that's not always possible.

Current camera shoot fairly good video without video lighting, and outstanding with video lighting, but when it comes to audio in most cameras, it's.. well, less than good. if separate lighting is acceptable to improve your video quality, then you should be open to capturing separate audio, so you can greatly improve your audio quality.

This is simple these days just by buying a Zoom H1 recorder, and plugging in a simple lapel microphone (the better the mic the better the audio) and the H1 will not only capture the audio, but it also will allow you to monitor it in real time if needed, as well as act as an amplifier.
