The March SHIRO! Monthly Community Challenge will need you to hang on tight!!! It’s time to once again bust out those Racing Controllers because this polygonal take on the classic arcade motorcycle racer demands perfection! Wear some knee pads as we are playing SEGA Sports Hang-On GP!
This month we will be playing the six GP courses, NTSC only. The initial three courses will last all month, and the final three will be weekly challenges starting with Long Albatross Cliff Reef on March 8. There will be a special prize for the "Leader of the Pack" awarded to whoever gets the fastest total time of all six courses by the end of the month.
Also being introduced is the Emulation Category. The "Any Way You Can" prize will be awarded for the fastest total time of the initial three courses. This will only be available to participants who don't own real Saturn hardware (so no double-dipping). Any emulator is allowed, including MiSTer.
RULES:
- No Action Replay or PseudoSaturn cheats. No cheating.
- NTSC only!
- Normal difficulty only.
- Standard motorcycles only. Special Silver Machine not allowed!
- Photographic evidence of times/scores is mandatory.
- Videos and online submissions to Speedrun.com are encouraged: speedrun.com/hangongp

- Castle Park — Best time on GP race on North Crimson Wing (March 15 to 21)
- Totally not NYC — Best time on GP race on Long New Dwells (March 22 to 28)
Special Prize:
