Today I will talk about the smart-home app.It's an app that controls the Ecocapsule and all its functions. The first block that you can follow in this app is analytical. It tells us how much water we have, how much energy we have. How much solar power we harvest, how much wind power. So, it's a basic energy overview. We also monitor the water status. We know how much water is in the tanks, if there is any problem, if water needs to be pumped in, etc. The second part of the app is the controlling part. We can control heating, cooling, lights and other things. Apart from that the app has a function where we can level Ecocapsule into horizontal plane. This helps in uneven terrain. A part of the app is internet access. Ecocapsule has its own network and can join an external network too. Another important function is the shower scheduler, where we can preset an exact time for heating water. This has many advantages, but mainly it's energy efficient. This way we can save water, without the need keep it heated at all times. We heat it only when we need hot water. The point of the app is also to educate the users. In everyday life we know how much finances we have, how we use them, etc. So, all Ecocapsule users should learn to be aware of how much energy they have and how to use it wisely. Apart from the app, Ecocapsule has other hardware equipment, various switches. It also features a turn-off switch for the whole Ecocapsule, when we want to leave for a long time. So Ecocapsule will expand from land to water, creating a nice little houseboat. Moreover, technically it's a very simple solution. This pontoon will also be available for purchase on our website. We are preparing various external modules for Ecocapsule, such as a terrace, a canopy and external solar panels. At the moment we have one size of Ecocapsule. We are not planning to change this, but we are working on connecting Ecocapsules to create a larger household. Maybe a one-room, two-room, three-room apartment. At the moment we are working on a special security package. Clients will be able to order further security components. Hardware such as cameras, a fingerprint lock etc, or software such as GPS. GPS provides protection against the theft of the whole Ecocapsule. Due to its great size and perfect mobility, Ecocapsule can be legally placed anywhere. Today I will talk about the mobility and deliveringof the Ecocapsule. Ecocapsule is 2.5m tall, 4.5 m long and 2.2m wide. The dimensions are designed so that it can fit into a shipping container. We can fit two Ecocapsules into a 40'HC container. Therefore, global transport is really easy and we can ship Ecocapsules to the whole world. We can transport them by ship, on a truck or even by airplane. When they are delivered to a port or airport, we can put them on a truck a deliver them to the client. We have also designed a trailer, so Ecocapsule will not just be a small house. You will be able to put it on a trailer and tow it behind your car, wherever needed. The loading of the Ecocapsule on the trailer is really simple. The trailer is a single axle trailer with brakes. The trailer will be available this year together with the first Ecocapsules. Today I will talk about the technical systems of Ecocapsule. The main system is the power system, consisting of turbine and solar panels. These ensure the harvesting of electrical energy, which is stored in batteries. The solar system is mounted on the roof and has a power output of over 600 W. The turbine is on a telescopic mast that can be raised up as high as 4.5m. It has a maximum power output of 750 W. All this energy is stored in three batteries, with a capacity of 9 kWh. The batteries run all systems of the Ecocapsule. Lights, sockets, all appliances. The solar panels can be washed and have to be kept clean in order to be functional. The turbine also produces power during nighttime. If the turbine is retracted it does not produce energy. This happens mostly in transport mode when Ecocapsule is moving. Then, we have the air conditioning system - the HVAC unit. The HVAC unit is able to cool, as well as to heat. It's specifically designed for Ecocapsule. It consumes very little energy in various climatic zones. We have researched different places around the world, so we can ensure the functionality of Ecocapsule from -15 °C to +40 °C (4F to 104F). Today I will talk about the water system. Water is harvested mainly from rain, but other sources can also be used - e.g. lake water, or water from a camp site. This water is collected in a drain in the upper part of the capsule and further stored in tanks. There is one tank for harvested water, where the water is filtered and then into flows into the clean water tank. A number of filters are used in the process - mechanic, reverse osmosis and at the end a UV lamp, which cleans the water to a state when it can be used as drinking water. After the water is used, whether for drinking, showering or dishwashing, it goes into the grey water tank. Here, it is cleaned by bacteria and can be discharged into nature. We also have a tank with black water, placed under the toilet. Here the liquid from the toilet is cleaned by bacteria and can also be discharged into nature. Today I will talk about the story of Ecocapsule.In 2009, our architecture studio Nice Architects did a competition in the US. The task was to create a small mobile living space for a big area. We didn't win the competition, but we have created our first Ecocapsule. A lot of people wrote to us that it's a very interesting project. They asked if we would sell them an Ecocapsule. So, we thought - yes, if it's so interesting for people, let's continue developing this product. From 2009 to 2014 we have been slowly working on it. We did a lot of technologic research, worked on design, downsized the capsule. It was architectural and designer work. In 2014 the first breakthrough came when we realized that Ecocapsule can work as a startup. We won the Startup Awards and started working on the first prototype. It was finished in mid-2015, when we introduced in on the Pioneers festival in Vienna. From this point, there was a big viral boom, great interest in Ecocapsule. We were working on it intensively slowly started to look for investors. With the help of the crowd-investing platform Crowdberry, in early 2017 we found investors. The company has professionalized a lot, we have hired more people. Now we are focusing on bringing Ecocapsule on the market. Right now, we are finishing the second prototype. Immediately after its testing we will start the production ofEcocapsules for the first 50 clients. These will be distributed during 2018. Today I will talk about the equipment of Ecocapsule.First, let me introduce Ecocapsule. It's a small, mobile, self-sustainable micro-home, powered solely by solar and wind energy. It is intended for mid-term accomodation.When we enter Ecocapsule, on the left side there is a kitchenette with all necessary equipment. A cooktop, a sink with driking water. Underneath is a mini-fridge. On the right hand side, we have the dwelling space - living room and bedroom. It features a table for working or dining and a bed for one person. When unfolded, the bed can fit up to two people, it has quite generous dimensions. Facing the entrance we have the bathroom with a sink, shower and toilet. It's a composting-separating toilet. The liquid and solid waste are separated. Next to the toilet we have a tall closet, inteded mainly for outdoor garments. Over the bed are cupboards with quite a lot of storage space.Ecocapsule is a house powered by electricity. It has its own lighting via LED stripes. It features two power sockets, where you can charge your phone, laptop and other electronic devices. These sockets will be specific depending on country. So different sockets in the US, Japan, Slovakia, EU.We also have to mention what Ecocapsule does not feature. For example a TV, microwave or washing mashine. These devices are energetically too demanding and therefore do not fit the concept of Ecocapsule. Also, they are demanding in terms of spatial properties - they would not fit inside. We do have a solution for the washing mashine though - There are manual washing mashines on the market, that are powered by turning a crank.
