Another day, another 400 tile levelers. Javi Unboxed 2024-05-29 | Little by little, day by day, the progress continues. I’m averaging about 300 square feet a day between tiling, grouting, and knocking of tile levelers. Here’s another typical morning for me.

If anyone has ever done knockdown on walls, they know it’s quite the messy procedure. A hopper gun, basically spits, liquidy plaster in big blobs on the wall (and everywhere else!) Here we go.

Pulling out a 42” stump and filling my divot. Javi Unboxed 2024-03-12 | After occasionally putting a fire to the roots, I finally burned out the taproot on the 42 inch stump. Now it’s time to fill the hole in and gradually roll the stump out into a firing for the rest of the burning.
Nail spotting day. Javi Unboxed 2024-03-07 | While it’s called nail spotting, it’s actually screw spotting in this case. I use the nail spotter to quickly cover all the screw holes with drywall in the open field. Here we go!

Finish work - Denise’ room - Day 1 - nail spotting Javi Unboxed 2024-02-16 | As we begin the joint compound finishing process, let’s knock out the nail spotting first. While nail spotting is the term used, it’s actually screw spotting. The sunken screws in the field (not on a joint or corner that requires taping) are the ones we’re going to first.
Drywall is almost ready for compound. Javi Unboxed 2024-02-13 | All the walls are up. I just have to insert screws in most of the drywall from the 8 to 10 foot section to finish securing it. Here we go!
