Although I love each one of the sisters and am fond of their bonds (as trios and as pairs), these two kinda pulled at my heartstrings since, idk, always. They were sisters, best friends, partners in crime, and at times their relationship crossed the codependency line but more often than not they were just genuinely each other's rock and never shied away from criticising and praising the other. I truly believe they were soulmates and the love of each other's life and the fact that Prue literally turned back the clock to save her and, eventually, die for her... they had THAT once in a lifetime sisterly bond and portrayed it in such a effortlessly not-screaming-at-your-face way. Phoebe and Prue were just as beautiful and possibly much more complex and had a stronger development over the seasons, but Piper and Prue were always just there... Prue was Piper's light and Piper was Prue's everything.Shannen passing hit me so hard because, to me, she was kinda immortal and the reason she passed is just such a sensitive subject for me at the moment... it really is so weird how the death of someone you didn't know can affect you that much. And the fact that Prue died onscreen as well makes it all so much harder because Piper's heartbreaking grieving will always be there just a rewatch away from me (and I believe it is so easy for the audience to feel her because she kind channeled everyone's sadness). Sometimes while vidding I felt like I was intruding because the way they wrote Piper's pain is so raw and real you kind feel like you are watching something you are not supposed to. I like to think that Prue was their guardian angel throughout their lives, Piper's especially, because you can see after S3 there is always this big dark cloud over her head that she can't quite shake off and I feel like she subtley looked for Prue in everything she did and saw after her death. Chris, her son, was a carbon copy of Prue, her little grandaughter had Prue's power... she was always there one way or another.#fanvidfeed #charmed

She is so fierce, so proud and powerful, yet deep inside she is constantly scared, which I find so relatable really. To see her grow from this shy, nervous young girl to such a powerhouse of a witch and woman is, in a way, such a comfort. What a character she is and Holly did her so much justice, like you can perceive in the shifts in her voice or in the way she so proudly faces evil how strong she is. Phew.I am so proud of this video because I so wanted to encapsulate all of this, her being the backbone of the family, caring so deeply for her sisters and her kids, risking it all, looking (or acting, to be correct) so much like her mom in her recklessness and protectiveness. Multiple times I thought about giving up on it, for some reason I've never managed to make a full video about this family because their dynamics are so different and sometimes hard to properly capture. When I heard this song, thanks to Zoé's magnificent video about Daisy (youtube.com/watch?v=sYBYM5pB0_w), I envisioned some parts of a fitzsimmons family video and decided to use this song. I was determined to do them justice and I'm aware I massively overlooked some of the most powerful scenes, but since most powerful scenes are between Jemma and Deke, I didn't want this video to lean too much on their relationship, however beautiful it is. The love between Deke and his mom (who we lovingly call loop bbg) is so important for me and I wanted it to be present in this video, even though it's clear that Alya is not Deke's mom. It doesn't matter, because their fight for a better world started from her, through their struggles, her own struggles and Deke's committment to this cause, and finished with Alya. I will soon start classes again, and I imagine that virtual learning will exhaust me to say the least, so I'm not sure if I'll have time to vid.
