I am so glad I did! About 3 minutes into this video - I was able to capture nature at its' finest!!!!I had literally spoke it into existence. While flying this I had said out loud, "It would be amazing if I could get a clip of one of the chunks falling." And not 3 seconds after I had said that, the shelf gets slammed by another heavy wave, and BAM, it gives way to the treacherous tide. SO GLAD TO OF CAUGHT THIS SHOT, it was exactly what I was hoping for.I hope this can be used educationally. WARNING! PLEASE keep off these things! They are dangerous beyond imagination. Because it looks so fun to climb on, and go and see. It can't quickly turn ugly.I've seen groups of people trick out to these peaks.Completely un aware that at any moment, it could be a up to an 8 meter fall.With no access to shore, and freezing temperatures. You might have only a few minute window for rescue.So, although truly mesmerizing, majestic, and powerful. Winter Time in the City Diamond Dragon 2025-08-29 | Hobbiest Drone Pilot - Diamond Dragon - Morning Flight over New Grimsby, during the winter (2024) This was one of the first few flights I did. (Some older footage here)You can tell in the more jerky movements, and snappy movements.I didn't know the level of control you could program into the gimbals, and sticks for the different flight settings. I hadn't played around with them enough yet. I wanted to get flying. It was bad enough winter came when it did.When fighting wind, and gusting conditions, you tend to need to keep it in sport mode to be that bit more aggressive. Otherwise in cinema mode, you end up not being able to keep up. or the whole video takes a different feel.Worse, when flying faster, you tend to be a little more nervous,, so smaller movements become amplified. The drone had been responding in an erratic behaviour. I couldn't quite figure it out at first. It was only happening intermittently, I eventually solved the issue; it was the transmitter (Controller) When, throttle was at zero, it was some how reregistering it as 100%. And so when coming in to land, and cut throttle, it would take off full speed.When I disengaged the arming switch, the drone plummeted, and landed too roughly on a hard surface, shaking a wire, or something loose. Terminating the VTX signal. :(. Sad day, I had crashed many times before, and it held up. FPV - First Time Flights - Tinyhawk 3 Freestyle Diamond Dragon 2025-07-21 | Hobbiest Drone Pilot - Diamond Dragon - First time flights with Freestyle type flying.Using the EMAX "Tinyhawk 3 Freestyle HDZero" Drone RTF (Ready to fly) Kit. Digital system using the RUN CAM Nano Lite Camera.I've thoroughly enjoyed this drone package. It's not necessarily for kids, but is easy enough to use, it could be. The short flight time, with long charge times is the key reason. You'll only get about a 3 minute flight, maybe four, with heavy use. That can be stretched if you're just puttering. But go too low on the discharge, and you'll ruin the battery.Again - easy enough for a child to use, but the maintenance is a bit to endure.Obviously, too many crashes is the pilots fault. I've made more than few. The drone can take a beating. I'll make a compilation of just my crashes some time soon.I know four minutes, doesn't seem that long. Especially when you're trying to learn. I recommend spending time in a simulator to get the hang of it, and save your self a few hundred crashes at least.The HDZERO System differs from the DJI system. As DJI will always send complete image packets, and just delay incomplete frames, causing a screen image freeze. Where as the HDZERO system allows for broken packets to be sent. Giving the digital image, a static effect similar to an Analog system. This allows for a lowered image latency, at the sacrifice of quality. But it boasts a 720p Digital image. But never knew how to get to it, or why it was where it was.I finally learned that this was a "Burn building" it would help train first responders, for how to enter and extract through certain doors, and window openings, as well as putting out fires.
