What Happened in Enfield, Illinois in 1973? | The Enfield Horror 💫 Reel_Adventures: Dogman Encounters 2026-09-21 | In April of 1973, a strange series of events began in the small town of Enfield, Illinois.It started when Henry McDaniel heard something scratching outside his home late at night. When he went to investigate, McDaniel claimed he came face-to-face with a bizarre, hairy creature unlike anything he had ever seen. According to contemporary reports, it had a broad head, unusually short arms, enormous pinkish-red reflective eyes—and perhaps the strangest detail of all: three legs.McDaniel fired four shots at the creature from only a few feet away. He believed at least one of them struck it. Instead of collapsing, the creature reportedly hissed like a wildcat and escaped toward the nearby railroad tracks in a series of enormous leaps.What followed would become one of the strangest creature cases of the 1970s.Unusual tracks were discovered and plaster casts were reportedly made. McDaniel claimed to see the creature again. Radio personnel and investigators traveled to Enfield. Armed monster hunters descended on the town. Newspapers picked up the story, residents reported additional sightings, and theories ranged from an escaped kangaroo or misidentified animal to a hoax, an unknown species—and eventually something far stranger.But the Enfield case didn’t exist in isolation.During the same general period, southern Illinois produced additional reports of unexplained creatures, including the famous Big Muddy Monster sightings around Murphysboro and strange reports near the old pumphouse outside Mount Vernon. WHAT IN THE HELL ARE PEOPLE SEEING OUT THERE? 💫 Reel_Adventures: Dogman Encounters 2026-09-14 | Tonight’s upload features four completely different listener-submitted encounters from Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Queensland, Australia.The first encounter comes from Jason, who says his life changed after what should have been an ordinary late-night drive home from work in southern Illinois. What first looked like an injured animal in a roadside ditch quickly became something he could not explain. According to Jason, the animal stood upright, came toward the road, and struck the rear of his vehicle as he sped away.The second submission comes from James, originally from Northeast Ohio, and takes us to a campsite along the Chippewa River in Wisconsin. James says he found a series of unusually large canine-looking prints near where he and his ex-girlfriend were setting up camp. Later that night, he says something large moved around the outside of their tent, producing deep vocalizations, heavy sniffing sounds, and an overwhelming foul odor. Before the night was over, James says he caught a brief glimpse of something large crossing the river and disappearing into the trees.Our third encounter comes from Deb in LaPorte County, Indiana, and this one is completely different from what we normally cover. Deb says that in July of 2008, she walked outside with her two dogs and saw what she could only describe as a Pterodactyl standing in her stocked pond. She claims the animal spread enormous bat-like wings, screamed, and flew away. Days later, a couple she knew returned from southern Indiana and described seeing something very similar while fishing.The final encounter takes us all the way to Queensland, Australia.Krispy Kel, an Indigenous Australian listener, describes an experience near Kenilworth involving herself and her son. While walking only minutes from their campsite, they began hearing a strange growling sound that seemed to move closer each time they stopped. Although they never saw what was making the sound, Krispy says both she and her son felt as though something large and predatory was following them.According to her, the activity continued during the nights that followed, including another encounter while she was alone outside the tent. Krispy also discusses Yowie stories, the Australian bush, and why the experience has stayed with her and her son all these years.These encounters are shared as they were submitted to me. For the first several years, life there was exactly what they wanted—quiet, isolated and surrounded by thousands of acres of Appalachian woods.Then he saw something walking through the trees.His first unexplained sighting appeared to be a massive, hair-covered humanoid that he believed could have been a Sasquatch.Years later, his wife called him outside after spotting what she thought was an enormous black dog at the edge of their field.Then it stood up.That would become the first of several alleged Dogman encounters on the property.But Dogman wasn’t the only thing he claims to have seen.One winter night, his German Shepherd, Buford, refused to leave the porch. When he went outside to see what had frightened his dog, he spotted a thin, pale humanoid moving low to the ground along the tree line—something he would later discover closely resembled what some people call a “crawler.”As the years passed, the encounters continued.He witnessed two Dogman-like creatures together. A woman running toward her husband in a pasture with a flashlight, not knowing what was already standing over him.Two of these ended with somebody in a hospital. All three ended with somebody lying about how it happened.I normally rewrite submissions in my own voice. Not this time. He Fired at It… It Kept Coming | Real Dogman Encounters 💫 Reel_Adventures: Dogman Encounters 2026-07-20 | Tonight’s episode takes us deep into the South for three disturbing Dogman encounters from Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama.The first comes from a father and son who were spending the night at an oxbow lake they had fished for years. What began as a normal evening of camping and catfishing changed when their fishing line was pulled out of the water and dragged into the woods. Before the night was over, both men were running back to their truck with something close behind them.The second encounter comes from a Mississippi game warden investigating an illegal bait site inside a Wildlife Management Area. During the walk back to his vehicle, he realized that a large upright animal was following him through the timber. It continued closing the distance until he was forced to draw his pistol and fire.The final encounter is a real listener submission sent by EJ from Mobile County, Alabama. Her 43-year-old son was driving home through Grand Bay at approximately 3:00 a.m. on July 18, 2026, when an enormous white animal crossed directly in front of his car. He swerved to avoid it and landed on the driver’s side in a drainage ditch. Secrets In The Stones: My 36 Year Old Secret Encounter 💫 Reel_Adventures: Dogman Encounters 2026-05-17 | What you’re watching was filmed on private property in Rowan County, KentuckyThe rock formation you see is an ancient sandstone outcrop approximately 300 million years old, formed during the Pennsylvanian period when Kentucky was covered by shallow seas and river deltas. The natural horizontal bedding layers made this stone ideal for quarrying.In the 1800s — possibly as early as the 1700s — small crews worked this exact site by hand, cutting perfectly square blocks using plug and feather drills and chisels. The dressed blocks were smoothed by hand and transported to the nearby Licking River, then floated down to the Ohio River for use in home foundations and buildings throughout the region. Evidence of this operation still exists on the property today in the form of perfectly cut, extraordinarily smooth stone blocks scattered throughout the site.This site has never been formally excavated or studied.
