June 23rd (almost) Super Full Strawberry Moon Phil Mosby 2021-06-24 | I was off by a day and thought that last night was the Super Full Moon. Although I was a day early, the moon was only a tiny fraction less full than it will be when it rises tonight (June 24th, the actual full moon), seeing as it reaches its peak brightness at 11:40AM PDT (this was captured at 8:40pm on June 23rd, ~14hrs from peak fullness, while tonight's moonrise will be at 9pm, ~9.5hrs from peak fullness). A double rainbow forming out of a clear sky over Lake Tahoe. And clouds. And Lightning. Phil Mosby 2021-01-14 | I shot this several years ago, but have never released it due to the proliferation of sensor dust that affects the first clip. BUT after looking at it for the millionth time, I was struck by the fact that it also shows a DOUBLE rainbow forming out of the blue! A truly special event. Along with all of the other footage featuring some truly spectacular clouds and a lightning storm over Lake Tahoe. So I release this with the following caveat:I KNOW the quality of this footage is not fantastic and the sensor dust especially in the first shot is horrendous (there's so much of it that fixing it through clone-stamp tool or other methods seriously degrades the video, at least from my attempts), but I hope the subject matter will delight you nonetheless.
