Nerve block for wrist surgery, feels like I have phantom pain syndrome April 30, 2025 Sean Symons 2025-05-28 | This is the second time in my life. I’ve had a nerve block and it is weird. I am touching my fingers and it doesn’t feel like it’s my fingers. I am in a sling, but it feels like my arm is just hanging down like normal.I guess this is the like or very similar to the phantom nerve syndrome or nerve pain where if there was a part of the body that was missing, your brain still feels it and even feels the pain in the arm, which is completely missing.Weirdest stuff I’ve ever felt
Wrist surgery this morning, complications from the distal bicep ruptured tendon repair.  Sean Symons 2025-05-01 | This has been an extremely difficult this last 6+ months of my life. Last summer I started getting really bad heat stroke, then a distal bicep tendon rupture in October 4 of 2023 and then a repair November 1 of 23 and that’s when all the pain started with the Pin palsy. My nerve was damaged during the surgery, which makes it to where I cannot open my hands.So this surgery hopefully will help with the wrist pain and help with recoveryJune 16 I’ll have a consult with my reconstructive heart surgeon. That’s the next thing I’m dealing with is an open heart Surgery.

Wrist drop, pin palsy, About 12 weeks after surgery Sean Symons 2025-01-28 | November 1 of 2024 I had distal bicep tendon rupture repair surgery done which, as a complication, damaged my PIN nerve.It makes it impossible for me to open up my hands however I can squeeze my hands into a fist.I will be getting a nerve induction test next week and talk to another doctor about options.While I don't really see much of a difference, I guess it's kind of like your children growing up, other people can see how fast are growing up but they look kind of the same to you.As a grandparent, I really see the grandchildren growing fast. And on that note, the doctor and nurse both said they can see an improvement.That makes me feel happyI'll do another video when they do the nerve induction test to see what the difference is between the original nervous test and the one I'll get next week

Dog therapy for my hand #pinpalsy Sean Symons 2024-12-07 | So I use my dogs for therapy for my hand. I had distal bicep rupture tendon repair surgery done and a complication was nerve damage and they call it Pin palsy.It causes a horrible amount of pain in the wrist and forearm.I'm on a lot of pain medicine which keeps it tolerable. But even when I'm on medication my pain level is still between a three and a five. And then when I have Episodes where I try to use my forearm muscles, the pain is excruciating. And I would rate that as a 10 out of 10 worst pain ever.
