I made sure it was perfectly clean (no oil) and put gasket on dry and made sure to not over tighten. (Should use a torque wrench on the 2 - 10mm bolts at 87 inch Lbs.)This is how Felpro and GM did it from factory. So it should last another 270k miles.You know its better than OEM without question if Felpro is the brand. Itโs an easy job. No mystery parts will jump out of the engine when you unbolt the plate. If 15 mechanics said you need a rear main seal but there is no oil coming out of the weep-hole in the starter and no oil over the bellhousing, then itโs likely this 15-minute fix is it.Notes: It's fine for a block-off plate, NOT an oil cooler which needs two holes to separate the lines. See pic in folder2 - 10mm bolts should be tightened to 87 inch LbsTime for an oil change and I think my oil cooler bypass port cover gasket is leaking. I sourced a new Fel-pro gasket at the local parts store - my question is does this gasket require some type of sealant or does it go on dry? I've searched the forum and know the torque on the 2 bolts is very light, but nowhere could i find the answer regarding sealant. Any info would be appreciated. It is quite low and if you give the bolts too much torque you stand the chance of stripping out the bolt holes in the oil pan. A previous owner of my EXT did just that and I fought oil leaks until I finally just had the oil pan replaced. Torque 87 inch LbsAnd just for information, there are two different gaskets used at that location.The gasket for the oil cooler line set has two round port openings. The gasket for applications that do not have the oil cooler, but instead have the bypass adapter, the gasket has one larger oval port hole.The engine oil coolers used on most of today's modern vehicles are essentially water-to-oil heat exchangers. Oil coolers use the engine cooling system to remove excess heat from the engine oil. The coolers are supplied with engine oil from an adapter that sits between the engine block and the oil filter. Oil from the engine is circulated into the oil cooler, where coolant from the vehicle's radiator system circulates, creating a condition similar to most air conditioning units in our homes. To remove the old wiper just lift the lever, then swivel the wiper down and slide it off the J hook. The new wipers I ordered are different but just as easy to install. Just lift the lever and insert the J hook thru the opening, snap it into the hook, then close the lever to lock it.Do the same to the passenger side.open the lock. Slide it off the J hook. Open the new wiper lock.Slide the J hook thru it... then hook it and snap it in...and close the lock...Now for the rear wiper. Pull on each side of the Nut cover here... and lift it open, now the arm will lift all the way up, then swivel the wiper until you hear it disengage from the hook and pull it out, then place the new wiper pin in the hook and swivel the blade down, lay it on the glass and Close the nut cover.

The problem is, this lip is in the way as we can see here... Donโt ask why its like this!!But we shall fix it, so the next time it will be a breezeโฆThis is where the drill with a Die Grinder Bit comes in... make a nice slot deep enough so the T20 screwhead is exposed and easy to get to. And I wouldnโt worry about scratches since no-one will see them....take your T20 and nice and easy unscrew it off....once the screw is removed, push the plastic lever on the right side of the door and pull.... and make sure to clear the center tab on top here... and at the same time unhook the left side...Hereโs a closer look of the door latch... and the other side that un-hooks...now we can slide out the old filter, notice the arrows pointing downโฆ thatโs the airflow direction, so make sure you point the new one the same way... Slide out the old filter and insert the new one... insert the left side of the plastic door into the hooks... then line up the latch on the right side and push it in. Once it's clipped insert the T20 screw and tighten, now we can put the glove box back on by first, hooking the hinges.Then line up the small shock here and snap it back on... Similar to the other, lift the clip lock with your index and pull it out of the plug.Then undo the clips from the 2 fasteners holding it to the brake hoseโฆ like that. Avoid damaging them, since they keep the wire from rubbing and getting caught on any of these moving parts.this is the weird part of this design.the cable is secured to the same Bolt and bracket that holds the brake line.so, we suggest to snap a picture before unbolting it instead of trying to remember the way it was. then using a 15mm socket we proceed to unbolt it.Once the old cable wire is off, the new one is very simple to install. the white plug goes to the sensor here... and the black plug goes on the wheel well socket here... It's right in front of the engine oil filler cap.With paper towel or rag ready, pull the dipstick all the way out of the tube and wipe the oil off the tip.Then, reinsert the dipstick all the way back into the tube.Wait a few seconds and pull it back out.while holding it level, look at the cross-etched area... the oil should be anywhere in between itโฆ this one is in the middle in which is good, above or below this area, is bad. hereโs a better look at the cleaned cross-etched tip.if below it, need to add oil, if above it, itโs too much.I prefer it in middle.reinsert it back in and if adding more oil, take the filler cap off here and using a funnel add as needed.The type of oil is on the cap as well.If you need to change the oil, click on the end-screen at the end of this video. Itโs easier to get to the back bolts if the wheel is turned all the way to the right.to remove the top and bottom brake pad caliper bolts, use the 14mmslide it out and carefully lay it on top of the upper arm or tie it if necessary.do not let it hang from the hose.using a flat screwdriver, if necessary, remove both brake pads.remove the top and bottom slider brackets before installing the new pad sliders, make sure you clean the surface with a small wire brush if necessary and then smear some grease before clipping the new ones on.remove the bottom and top slide pins from the boot and place some fresh grease on them.itโs important that you put the pins back in the same place you take them out, since they are slightly different... and make sure they clip back into the boot collar so no water and dirt gets in them. if the boot is damaged, replace it we take the new slider brackets included in the kit and place one on the top and bottom of the caliper bracket Make sure the slide clips are centered and the tabs are bent over the sides. this is to avoid them from moving side to side and hit the rotor. bend them on each side of the top and bottom clip. before installing the new inside brake pad, make sure this plate is transferred over from the old one, the inside pad is identified by the squeal tab here, when the pads get too low this tab comes in contact with the rotor and you will hear that squeal before installing the new brake pads, put a little grease on each end that will come in contact with the slider, then do the same to the other side, now we're ready to put the caliper back but first we need to push the cylinder in, so it wonโt interfere with the new thicker pads.using an old pad and a C clamp, slowly tighten the cylinder into the caliper then insert it back on to the caliper bracket line it up with the top and bottom slide pins and thread in the 2 bolts then torque them to 30 ft. lbs. while holding the pins with channel locks to stop them from spinning. put the wheel back on and hand tighten the lug nuts lower the jack till the tire touches the ground torque them in a 'star' pattern to 140 ft. lbs.pump the brake pedal between 5 and 10 times to make sure its firm and drive a few miles to make sure.See Chevrolet Equinox 2010 to 2017 Playlist for more;youtube.com/watch?v=J8PG6pu3rto&list=PLKE7F0aRK-jmQ-W7jNutjJN_Ue06tHVHfSee Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk 2014 to 2017 Playlist for more;youtube.com/watch?v=rXR4sRL32Ag&list=PLKE7F0aRK-jkW8Xvq8_YPnWjlDefI_g_0

Sometimes all of them are on at the same time.The engine the parking except the red Brake which goes off when I disengage it, the traction and ABS all stay on while driving. Occasionally they go off while driving, but the next time I start the car they stay on again. OBD2 scanner read U1412 code. If you look up the code it gives you the following: Faulty Transmission Control Module (TCM) - Transmission Control Module harness is open or shorted -Transmission Control Module circuit poor electrical connection โ A shop where they have $ophisticated $canners pinpointed the issue; The Abs Speed Sensor Front Passenger side is bad and here's the new part in which I'll put the link in the description. This will fit the 2015-2021 Jeep Cherokees all models including the Trailhawk submodels and it's the same part for the driver side. Installing the front speed sensor on these newer jeep models is a breeze compared to the older models. After chucking the back wheels we jack up the front passenger side wheel. Place a jackstand under the lower arm and then lower the jack keeping pressure on it. using a 19mm square socket on an impact gun we take the lug bolts off the wheel. From the 2014-2022 models, Jeep has made many improvements and one of them is the accessibility to the ABS speed sensor, youโll see what I mean. Start with the cable plug here in the wheel well, then follow the cable to the first grummet that holds the cable in place. The second grummet here. Then the third here and then comes the speed sensor. Notice how easy to get to it. on the older models the caliper and rotor had to come off because the sensor was under the rotor and on the other side of the mud guard. This engineer had his brain linked to a mechanic when he made this modification. it definitely deserves a thumbs up letโs start by unplugging the cable by using a pick tool to release it then pull out the first grummet from the holding bracket before going any further we start inserting the new cable to the first grummet holding bracket and place it in the same position as the old one continue to the second and third grommet and make sure the cable is routed the same way as the old one this assures the cable will not rub on any moving suspension parts while driving. once we reach the sensor we unbolt the old one using a 10mm socket. if thereโs a lot of debris around it, it should be cleaned to avoid dirt from falling in the hole. once bolt is removed gently twist it both ways to get it loose you want to avoid breaking it and the rest stays in the hole That would be a bad thing you can lube it if necessary but not go overboard with it once it twists, you can use a pick to pry it at the same time you're turning and pull it... eventually it will come out once its removed. take the new sensor and slowly push it in make sure the hole is lined up, insert and tighten bolt with 10mm socket and don't overtighten. Now plug in the socket but first remove the old one clipped to the wheel-well, by just inserting the pick into the square hole it clips into and pull it out. Now plug in the new one to the socket and clip it back on the wheel-well. Start the engine and drive it so the computer senses the new ABS Speed Sensor and it should turn off all the warning lights, so make sure your wheel is back on and torqued, take the jackstand out. Then after unhooking the negative terminal and setting it aside, disconnect the positive terminal. Why is this so important? Think of it this way: Your vehicleโs electrical system is a closed circuit. The negative terminalโs cable connects to your vehicleโs frame, which is part of the circuit, but its current flows from your carโs frame and components. Positive current, on the other hand, flows into the circuit from your battery. If you disconnect the positive cable first, thereโs always a chance that you may accidentally touch it to other metal pieces. This completes the circuit and can cause a short in your carโs electrical system. When re-hooking the battery terminals, itโs positive first and then negative. Tighten each 10mm nuts on each terminal. And donโt forget to reconnect the bracket holding your battery in place. Next thing is to start it up and see if anything needs to be reset. These things are very heavy...First thing is to take out the 4 D batteries... by unscrewing the cap here and slide them out..... Then unscrew the lens top all the way offโฆ.. On this unit this also adjusts the beam. Once the bulb is exposed... unscrew the ring that holds it in.... and then pull out the bulb.Placing them side by side, to make sure they are similar in design and size. Now let's Insert the led bulb in the flashlight socket .... aligned the slot on the rim of the bulb ring to the brass strip on the socket....Then screw the bulb retaining ring back on to the socket..........Then put back the 4 D batteriesโฆ.. and screw the cap back on.........Make sure the bulb works,....... and then screw the lens cap back on....The led looks Much brighterโฆ.. Not badโฆ.With the 4 D batteries, I'm looking forward to some extended battery life from the LED as well, vs. the old standard bulb. Great light output and good color, and its not too blue. Not up to today's latest technology standards, but I am impressed.
