PA3DMI /Portable QRP Countryside PA3DMI 2023-08-20 | Today was another sunny day so now I took the Yaesu FT817, BaMaKey, Elecraft T1 tuner and my homemade Endfed to the countryside just outside Amsterdam. I Made some changes to my Endfed and now it works perfect. Made QSO's with EW1MM [mixed-mode cw/usb], OH3GZ [usb], II6POPE [usb and NO not the real Pope] and CS2MD/L Lighthouse-station [cw]. I even heard Japan JI1DLJ on 17 meters but no qso. Not bad for only 2 Watt and a half-wave for 20 meter.

So I also took my Mountaintopper with me to look what I would hear and maybe make some cw-contacts. The Bandspringer is a multi-band long-wire antenna. The length has been carefully chosen to ensure that it will work with the internal antenna tuners in portable radios such as the K1*, KX1, K2 and KX3. It will also work well with the Elecraft T1 auto-tuner and the MFJ portable tuner. *Note that the Bandspringer must be used with an antenna tuner—it is not suitable for connection directly to an FT817 or similar radio without a tuner. Or use it with an balun as an endfed antenna.What do you get? The Bandspringer consists of two wire elements, both are made of high quality tinned copper wire, insulated with a yellow PVC coating. This wire type has proved a good compromise between flexibility and performance. The yellow insulating jacket makes it easy to spot on most surfaces (not snow of course!) which makes handling much easier. The elements are 42ft each. The wire elements are supplied wound on a Wire Winder to make deployment and recovery in the field as easy as possible. Each element is terminated in a good quality “Banana” plug. The radiating element has a braided nylon cord extension to make it easy to use. The extension is firmly attached to the wire at one end and has a pegging loop at the other end. An adapter is provided with a BNC plug and banana sockets to allow the antenna to be connected to your radio or tuner. We stock a BNC socket to UHF plug adapter which can be purchased separately if your equipment has an SO239/UHF socket. The Bandspringer is supplied with two high-quality aluminium alloy pegs and two insulators. The total weight is approximately 327gm (11.5 oz.). *NOTE: The internal tuner on the K1 has a limited matching range on 80m and coverage of this band may not be possible without using an external tuner. A transmission consists of the callsign of the beacon sent at 22 words per minute followed by four one-second dashes. The callsign and the first dash are sent at 100 watts. The remaining dashes are sent at 10 watts, 1 watt and 100 milliwatts. Rotterdamse James Bond uit WO II 95 overleden - NOS tv 14januari2019 PA3DMI 2019-01-14 | WO II-veteraan Bram Grisnigt is vrijdag [ 11 januari 2019 ] overleden. Hij was de laatste nog levende oorlogsspion van Bureau Inlichtingen. De Engelandvaarder, die wel vergeleken werd met James Bond, werd 95 jaar.In 1941 sloot hij zich als scholier aan bij de geallieerden. Omdat zijn oorspronkelijke reisdoel, Nederlands-Indië, inmiddels bezet was, koos Grisnigt voor Engeland. Met een vriend fietste hij naar een niet bezet deel van Frankrijk; via Spanje, Gibraltar, Curacao en Canada belandde hij uiteindelijk in Engeland, waar hij naartoe wilde. Tijdens de reis ontsnapte hij geregeld aan de dood, net als 007.Codenaam: CosterIn Londen kreeg hij een opleiding tot radiotelegrafist en codist. Hij leerde er zijn grote liefde Ann Stone kennen, die lange tijd alleen zijn codenaam wist: Kees Coster.In 1943 ging Grisnigt, samen met Peter Hoekman, voor een geheime operatie naar Nederland. Daar moest hij vanuit bezet gebied informatie doorgeven aan het Bureau Inlichtingen, dat samenwerkte met de Britse geheime dienst.PostduivenBij de landing met de parachute bij Boxmeer kwamen Grisnigt en Hoekman door een navigatiefout op de verkeerde plek terecht. Ze werden opgepikt door 'goede' Nederlanders. Het bericht dat ze hun doel hadden bereikt, belandde via postduiven die ze hadden meegenomen in Londen.Vijf maanden later peilde de Duitse SD de zender van Grisnigt uit en werd hij opgepakt. De spion overleefde vijf concentratiekampen. Het laatste was Ravensbrück, waar hij in april 1945 werd bevrijd.Nog één keerZoals zoveel Engelandvaarders was hij gedesillusioneerd dat het leven in Nederland na de oorlog weer gezapig was; daarom wilde hij hier niet meer wonen volgens zijn biograaf.Grisnigt vertrok met zijn vrouw naar Curaçao, waar hij negentien jaar voor Shell werkte. Daarna kwam hij terug naar Nederland. Tot zijn dood woonde hij in Brabant. In 2012 overleed zijn laatste maatje van het Bureau Inlichtingen.Vorig jaar stuurde Grisnigt nog een keer een morsebericht naar Engeland. Dat was precies 75 jaar nadat hij als geheim agent begon. De codetaal was hij na al die tijd nog niet vergeten. "Het zit allemaal nog in mijn hoofd. De antenne van Radio Bloemendaal PA3DMI 2018-07-24 | Na enkele proefuitzendingen van Radio Bloemendaal was de eerste uitzending van een radiokerkdienst op 15 juni 1924, met als predikant ds. J.C. Brussaard. Daarmee is Radio Bloemendaal de oudste christelijke zendgemachtigde organisatie in Nederland, net een paar maanden ouder dan de NCRV. De zender stond in de kerktoren van de kerk aan de Vijverweg; en de antenne hing tussen die toren en een mast achter de kerk; men zond uit op de 200 meter (1500 kHz). Daar er eigenlijk geen filmpjes zijn van de antenne-installatie ben ik op een mooie zomerse 23 juli 2018 op mijn scooter vanuit Amsterdam naar Bloemendaal gereden. Daar de gehele installatie op privé-terrein staat en je niet zomaar wil aanbellen heb ik op afstand, zo goed als het kan, wat beelden gemaakt van de T-antenne [naar links afgespannen vanaf de mast]. Of de installatie ook echt op de Hoge Duin en Daalseweg nummer 21 staat kon ik niet bepalen maar het zicht was er wel het beste. Zelf kijken kan dus het best bij het hek waar BL.
