As we are still in lockdown in the UK, finding new materials for projects is quite hard so I used some old wood I had leftover from a previous project. I also used Fusion 360 and my Ender 3 to 3D print the brackets.

I had some 18mm thick plywood left over from my Folding Plywood Sofa and thought this would be perfect for this build. It's not my usual design style and I thought I would end up giving it away to a friend, but I actually really like it!

It was a test to see if I could use my vinyl cutter to cut some 1.2mm thick veg tan leather. I used my Silhouette Cameo with a deep cut blade and cut out my maker's mark and then saddle stitched it onto this black cap. I also cut out a thin strap and stitched that on as a dual pen/pencil holder while in the workshop.

I haven’t posted a video quite a few months, that's in part down to my wife and I recently having a baby. But I’ve been desperate to get back out and make something, so I thought I would make this cute little clothes rail for all of her clothes.

I've never worked with brass before so was curious to see how easy it was to work with. I'm really happy with the final outcome, but I think it can do with some work in regards to polishing to remove some of the scratch marks, but for a first attempt it looks great.

I've wanted an electric standing desk for years now. Partly for the health benefits, of which there are loads, partly because I always just thought they were cool.
I often toyed with the idea of buying one of those cheap manual ones you hand wind, but knowing myself, I knew it would never ever get raised from the seated position. I built my old desks using some used scaffold boards and piping. They look great and everyone who comes to my office comments on them. But for this project, I wanted to try using some brand new ones. Yes, I will lose some of the rustic charm and character from the old ones. But I'm super happy with how this turned out.

This is my entry for the #RocklerPlywoodChallenge. This modern design sofa is great for creating a bit of extra seating, while still being super low profile when folded away. It takes less than 10 seconds to set up and is all hinged so no need for any fiddle screws or bolts.
It should take around a day to make and can be made using really simple power tools. A circular saw and a drill. You can also use a table saw if you have one, or even achieve it with just a hand saw.

I didn't really want to spend any money on this, so it was made from pallet and scrap wood, and leftover copper pipe. I like peg boards but it looked like too much work drilling a lot of holes, so I just used copper saddle clips.

I've made a couple of knives in the past, but this time I wanted to set myself a new challenge. This is by far the hardest thing I've ever done, and in return, quite possibly the thing I'm proudest of.
I wanted to make a steak knife with serrations and to make it more complicated, I wanted a matching pair. The serrations on a steak knife are there to protect the edge from going dull too quickly when cutting against your plate.

I grabbed a few logs of wood from my parent's firewood pile a few months ago and have had them sat around trying to come up with an idea of what do with them. Okay. I'll preface this by saying this is quite possibly the silliest thing I have ever made. It's silly. Right, so that is out the way. In this video, I show how I made this Bamboo Spaghetti Measurer. My wife and I are pretty terrible at working out how much spaghetti is needed for each person.

I've wanted one of these since I first started woodworking. They are a really cool way to sign off any of your own work. You can order them online and get them made in a CNC but I wanted to practice working with my hands. It didn't turn out perfect but happy with it! I used an oak dowel which I charred to protect the wood, and it looks cool.

I've wanted a copper ring for a while but couldn't decide whether I wanted the copper on the inside or the outside. So I decided to make one of each and then decide. I'm using standing copper piping that is used commonly in the UK in plumbing. It's sort of cheating but made like a lot easier not to do any soldering. I am also using a Rosewood veneer wood that is left over from my Curved Laptop Stand. I made them in a day, and as you'll see in the video or later on, that would have been a bit faster if I had used the right sizes from the start!

The weather in the UK can be pretty bad, so I needed a way to keep warm, and a normal scarf won't work as it's dangerous around power tools.
