Immediate Thoughts After 10 Minutes With the Steam Machine Iron Point Tech 2026-09-26 | In this video, I'll unbox the Steam Machine, set it up with the new Steam Controller, and share my first impressions after testing it with some AAA games. While I think the Steam Machine is a little overpriced, I love the idea of having a compact gaming PC that works more like a console and can easily move between TVs and monitors around the house. I'll also show what comes in the box, how the Steam Controller connects, and what the initial setup and update process is like.After getting everything set up, I tested the Steam Machine with Final Fantasy VII Rebirth to see how it handles a more demanding game. At 1080p, I was able to get around 60 FPS with relatively smooth performance. There were a few glitches, and it obviously doesn't compete with a high-end gaming PC, but the performance was impressive for such a compact device. I also tested a few other games and show how you can adjust performance and graphics settings similar to the Steam Deck or a traditional PC.Overall, I'm excited to spend more time with the Steam Machine and find out whether it's actually worth the price. I love the Steam interface, the huge library of games, Steam sales, and the flexibility of having a PC gaming experience in a more console-like package. You’ll start by opening your map and heading to the far right side in the Deleysia region, specifically the lower corner at Marnie’s Mysterium. It’s highly recommended to unlock the nearby Abyss Nexus first so you can fast travel in and out easily. Once you arrive and fly into the area, be prepared for immediate combat, as the location is filled with enemies, including aggressive dragonflies that can quickly spot you.After entering, make your way to the green rooftop and locate the specific room where the helm is found. Drop down inside, but keep in mind you won’t be able to pick up the helm right away. You’ll need to clear out a good number of enemies in the room first. Focus on taking out both the grounded enemies and the dragonflies flying around, as they can interrupt you or reveal your position while you’re trying to grab the item.Once the area is mostly cleared and you have a brief window where enemies aren’t detecting you, you’ll be able to pick up the Marni Laser Helm. You don’t necessarily need to eliminate every enemy, but reducing their numbers is key to safely grabbing it. After securing the helm, you’ll gain access to its defensive stats along with its laser ability and daze immunity, making it a powerful addition to your gear.

If you’re visiting this location later in the game, expect enemies in the area, but you can avoid them by flying past.Once you reach the ice lantern near the entrance, use your turning slash attack to break the ice surrounding it, then light the lantern to unlock the Spire of Frost. Head inside, and just beneath the stairs you’ll find a treasure chest containing the Frozen Anguish two-handed sword. This weapon comes with 25 attack, level 1 attack speed, and additional Abyss gear bonuses including stamina siphon, attack speed, and attack boosts, making it a strong pickup for early to mid-game progression.

The key here is to stay focused, avoid unnecessary jumps, and carefully move across the pedestals while timing your movements to safely get through each section.After navigating the traps, climb up to the next area and wait for another set of doors to open. Just beyond that final section, you’ll find the Golden-Knotted Ancestral Bow waiting for you. This powerful weapon comes with 19 attack, a critical rate of 1, and five Abyss gear slots, making it a valuable pickup that can carry you through a large portion of the game.

This short route makes it easy to grab the item without unnecessary combat or exploration.The Shield of Conviction comes with a defense stat of 8 and includes powerful abyss gear bonuses such as damage reduction and reduced guard stamina cost by 3%, making it a solid defensive option early on. Follow these steps to quickly secure the shield and boost your survivability.
How to Get the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom in Crimson Desert Iron Point Tech 2026-03-28 | In this video, I’ll show you exactly how to find the Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom in Crimson Desert. You’ll need to head to the snowy region of Hernand, specifically just under the “E” on the map at the Sanctum of Benediction. You can reach this area naturally through a faction quest where you liberate the location, or you can make your way there early, but be prepared, as the enemies in this area can be tough to deal with.To grab the helm quickly, the strategy is to avoid fighting as much as possible. Approach the castle from the backside, use your jumping ability to get up high, and then sprint past enemies to save time. Once inside, locate a lantern and light it to unlock a hidden doorway. Head through the newly opened path, push inside, and you’ll find the treasure chest containing the helmet. You may need to fight off a few enemies while opening it, but once you’ve got it, you can immediately escape and return later when the area is cleared through the quest.The Leather Helm of the Fallen Kingdom comes with great stats and value, offering 3 defense and level 1 lightning resistance. The real highlight is its Abyss gear effect, which provides a massive +35% boost to turning slash damage, making it incredibly powerful for combat. You can also remove this Abyss gear and apply it to other gear, making this helm a great pickup even if you don’t plan to wear it long-term.
Toward the Nest Quest Crescent Skybridge Puzzle in Crimson Desert Iron Point Tech 2026-03-28 | In this video, I’ll show you how to solve the Toward the Nest quest in Crimson Desert and activate the Crescent SkyBridge step by step. Starting at the Abyss Nexus, you’ll find multiple orbs, three on the top level and one on the bottom. The bottom orb is fixed, but for the three above, you’ll use your axiom force (L3) to control them and rotate their lasers so they align correctly with the targets, activating each section of the bridge.Next, you’ll need to use your blinding flash ability to inspect the cables around the bridge. Look for cables that don’t have power flowing through them, then trace them back to their source to find where they’re disconnected. Reconnect the cables on both the right and left sides of the bridge to restore power and progress the puzzle.Once everything is powered, a dial will activate as the final step. Climb onto the dial and use your force palm ability to trigger it. This completes the puzzle, activates the Crescent SkyBridge, and rewards you with an Abyss artifact for finishing this part of the mission.
How to Get Frostcursed Plate Armor in Crimson Desert Iron Point Tech 2026-03-27 | In this video, I’ll show you exactly how to find the Frostcursed Plate Armor in Crimson Desert by heading to the Demeniss region and locating a specific river system on the map. You’ll want to zoom in closely to identify the correct spot, which features a dual-waterfall area with a small rock formation. This is the entrance to the Mistshard cave where the armor is hidden.Once you arrive, you won’t be able to walk straight through the waterfall. Instead, you’ll need to use the Stab skill by holding R1 and Triangle (or Y, depending on your controller) to break through the water and enter the cave. After getting inside, it may look like a dead end at first, but you’ll notice a gold rock formation blocking your path that cannot be broken with normal tools.To get past this barrier, use the Force Palm ability to smash through the rock and open the path forward. Continue through the cave to the very back, where you’ll find a treasure chest containing the Frostcursed Plate Armor. This armor comes with 14 defense, Movement Speed Level 2, and Ice Resistance Level 7, making it a strong piece of gear worth picking up early.
How to Get Darkbringer Sword in Crimson Desert Iron Point Tech 2026-03-27 | In this video, I’ll show you how to find the Darkbringer two-handed weapon in Crimson Desert, one of the most powerful early-game weapons you can get. This weapon absolutely shreds enemies and comes with a unique ability that summons attacking orbs, giving you extra damage while you’re swinging. It’s a huge boost for combat early on and can make clearing enemies much faster and easier.To find it, head over to the Pailune region, located north of Pailune and west of the Silver Wolf Mountains. From there, go to the Abyss Nexus in the mountain range and use it as your reference point. When you look out toward the mountains, you’ll notice a group of circling crows in the distance. This is your key landmark. Make your way toward those crows, and you’ll eventually come across a massive skeleton.Once you reach the skeleton, head to its mouth where you’ll find the Darkbringer sword waiting to be picked up. The weapon comes with strong stats, including 22 attack, level 3 critical rate, and level 1 attack speed. It also features multiple Abyss slots and a special orb ability that activates with R2, summoning additional attacking orbs as you fight. This makes it an incredibly strong and unique weapon to grab early in your playthrough.
Spire of the Stars Puzzle in Crimson Desert (Solved) Iron Point Tech 2026-03-26 | In this video, I’ll show you exactly how to solve the Spire of the Stars main quest in Crimson Desert step by step. When you first enter the puzzle room, you’ll notice four symbols, but instead of interacting with those right away, head into the side rooms. In each room, use your force palm ability on the button objects to reveal engraved stones. Collect all of them and there will be three in total across the rooms.Next, return to the main area and place the engraved stones into the three front panels that require them. As you insert each stone, the corresponding symbol will rise to the top. Once all three are activated, head back into the side rooms and observe the symbol positions. Each panel has a specific correct placement, and you’ll need to match them by adjusting the hanging handles attached to each column.Climb onto the handles and hang from them to shift each symbol into its correct position. Some may already be correct, but others will need to be lowered into place. Once all symbols are aligned properly, the mechanism will activate and power up the central elevator. Step onto it to ride to the top, then quickly jump off before it descends again. Climb the final stairs to trigger a cutscene, which completes the puzzle and opens a portal to the Abyss.

You’ll start by heading to Demeniss and locating the area high above the “M” on the map, where you’ll find a body of water with a nearby waterfall. I walk you through the exact location and give you a clear visual of what the area looks like so you can easily find the correct spot.Once you reach the waterfall, you won’t be able to simply walk through it. Instead, you’ll need to use your stab ability to get inside. By holding R1 and Triangle (or the equivalent on your controller), you can break through the waterfall and access the hidden cave behind it. From there, just follow the path through the cave until you reach the treasure chest.Inside the chest, you’ll find the Frostcursed Plate Gloves. These gloves come with great stats, including 17 attack and 5 defense, along with Abyss gear bonuses that provide level 1 ice resistance and 1.0 damage reduction. This makes them a great piece of gear to pick up as you explore and strengthen your character.

You won’t be able to simply walk through it, so you’ll need to use the stab ability by holding R1 and Triangle (or Y, depending on your controller). This allows you to break through the waterfall and access the hidden cave behind it, where the treasure chest is located.After reaching the back of the cave, open the chest to obtain the Frostcursed Plate Boots. These boots come with 17 attack, 5 defense, and Abyss bonuses that include a 10% contribution to EXP gain and a 2% climb speed multiplier, making them a strong pickup for progression.

You’ll head to Demeniss and look high above the “D” to find a trail that leads to the Sanctum of Expiation. I walk you through the exact spot and give you a clear visual reference so you know you’re in the right place before moving forward.Once you arrive at the sanctum, you’ll make your way through the courtyard and use your Blinding Flash ability to reflect light with your sword and burn through the roots blocking your path. After that, you’ll crouch through the opening, follow the path with a couple of right turns, and reach the hidden treasure chest. Be aware that spikes will activate behind you, trapping you inside after you progress.After opening the chest, you’ll obtain the Frost Cursed Plate Cloak, which comes with 3 defense and level 5 ice resistance. To escape, you won’t be able to exit the normal way due to the spikes, so you’ll need to either teleport to a nearby Abyss Nexus using your map or save and reload your game. That’s everything you need to quickly grab this piece of gear and move on with your adventure.

You’ll need to head to the ruins located in the city of Demeniss specifically just above the “D” when you zoom in closely. I walk you through the exact location so you don’t miss it, including a clear visual of the area and vantage point to make finding the ruins quick and easy.Once you arrive at the ruins, you’ll need to look around carefully for a hidden entrance. There’s a section covered in vines that conceals a doorway, which is easy to miss if you’re not paying attention. After pushing through the vines, you’ll discover a hidden area with a treasure chest waiting inside.Open the chest to obtain the Frostcursed Plate Helm, which comes with great stats including Defense 5 and an Abyss gear bonus that restores 0.2 health every second. This makes it a great pickup for survivability, especially in tougher areas.
How to Get Entire Frostcursed Armor Set (All Locations) Iron Point Tech 2026-03-25 | In this video, I’ll show you how to get the full Frostcursed Plate armor set in Crimson Desert, including every individual piece and exactly where to find them. This all-black armor set not only looks incredible, but it givies off a Sauron or Witch King style vibe and it also provides strong stats and high ice resistance, making it extremely useful for exploring colder regions. The best part is that all of the armor pieces are located relatively close to each other, so you can efficiently collect the entire set in one run.We start with the Frostcursed Plate Helm in Demeniss, located high above the “D” on the map. You’ll find a set of ruins with vines covering a hidden doorway. Walk through them to access a chest containing the helm. From there, head west along the road to another set of ruins to find the Frostcursed Plate Cloak. Here, you’ll need to use the Blinding Flash ability with your sword to burn through roots, crouch through a narrow passage, and follow the path with two right turns to reach the chest. After grabbing the cloak, you can quickly escape the area, because spike traps will block the exit, by fast traveling using a nearby Abyss Nexus point.Next, move east into a river area where you’ll find a waterfall hiding the Frostcursed Plate Gloves. You can’t walk through it normally, so you’ll need to use the stab ability (R1 + Triangle or Y) to break through and access the cave behind it. Continue further down the river to a specific outcropping with a dual-waterfall setup to find the Frostcursed Plate Boots. Enter through the bottom-right waterfall using the same stab ability and open the chest inside. Finally, head north to another river system and locate the mistshard cave, marked by a dual waterfall and a rock formation. After stabbing through the waterfall, you’ll encounter a blocked path. Use Force Palm to break the gold rock barrier, continue through the cave, and open the final chest to obtain the Frostcursed Plate armor piece, completing the full set.
Where to Get Legendary Horse Royler in Crimson Desert (Shadowfax) Iron Point Tech 2026-03-24 | In this video, I’ll show you exactly where to find and how to tame the legendary horse Royler in Crimson Desert. This rare all-white mount, similar to Shadowfax, is one of the most sought-after horses in the game. To locate Royler, head to the lake area in Pailune, just below the “P” on the map. As you make your way there, you’ll pass through enemy camps, but you can safely ignore them and keep moving toward the mountainous lake where Royler spawns.Once you arrive at the location, you should spot Royler or Shadowfax near the water. From there, the challenge begins. To tame him, jump onto his back and prepare for a difficult ride. As he bucks and tries to throw you off, you’ll need to move your analog stick in the opposite direction of where his head is pointing to maintain balance and stay mounted.Be prepared for this to take multiple attempts, it can be tough, and it may take several tries before you succeed. After finally taming Royler, you’ll be able to register and ride him as your own legendary mount. With some of the best stamina in the game, Royler is a powerful companion that will make exploring the world much easier.
Where to Find Plate Cloak of the Shadows Iron Point Tech 2026-03-24 | In this video, I’ll show you how to find the Plate Cloak of the Shadows in Crimson Desert. You’ll start by heading to the Hoenmark Ruins, located just above the “H” in Hernand on the map. There’s also an Abyss Nexus nearby, which I recommend unlocking so you can quickly fast travel back to this location as needed.Once you arrive at the ruins, climb up and glide onto the top of the building. Land on the specific section shown, then crouch down and use your Force Palm ability to reveal a hidden opening. These boots come with solid stats, including 16 attack, 7 defense, a 10% skill XP gain bonus, and a climb speed multiplier of 2%, making them a strong pickup for early progression.

This process works for multiple companions, so you can collect several pets over time. Once they’re yours, you can even visit shops to customize them with different gear and cosmetic outfits to improve their appearance.Having a companion is more than just cosmetic, they’re incredibly useful during gameplay. Pets will automatically gather resources like wood and ore while you’re exploring, and they’ll also loot enemies you defeat. Even while traveling, such as riding your horse, your pet will stay nearby and continue helping, making them a valuable companion throughout your journey.

These fast travel points allow you to quickly teleport across the map, but first you’ll need to locate and unlock them. Once you find one, simply stand on it for a few seconds to activate it and make it available for future use.To locate these Abyss Nexus points, look for question mark icons on your map labeled as mysterious energy. When you arrive at these locations, you can use your sword’s reflective light ability to reveal shimmering spots that guide you directly to the Nexus point. This makes it much easier to pinpoint their exact location within each area.One important tip is to make sure your map filter is set to “all” or “environmental,” otherwise the Abyss Nexus points won’t appear. You can also find additional fast travel points on Abyss Islands, expanding your ability to move around the game efficiently. Once unlocked, simply select the Nexus point on your map and choose teleport to fast travel instantly.
