2021 Shelby GT500 1400R Twin Turbo 195 mph Half-Mile Run Fathouse Performance 2023-08-17 | NEW 2020+ GT500 Half-Mile Record! 🏆Last weekend we debuted Ken's 1400R twin turbo GT500 at Shift-S3ctor Indy Airstrip Attack This was Ken's first time seeing/driving his 1400R build. After making several shakedown passes in the 175-185 mph range we gave the car some more power on Sunday shooting for a 190+ mph pass. Q1 the car made a solid shakedown pass and secured the #7 spot running 7.57 @ 190 MPHQ2 the car cut a 1.22 60’ which was a new PB, but the clutch decided to check out on us. Thankfully Cale Aronson was able to get us some parts so we could swap out the clutch 👌Q3 and Q4 we had to go back to square one and make adjustments with the new clutch while battling some fueling issues at the same timeRound 1 of eliminations Jam Maker went up against a Toyota Starlet that ran 7.7 @ 195 MPH in qualifying. Neither car made a clean pass but Jeremy was able to come around him on the big endRound 2 of eliminations we went up against Grub Worm. Knowing what this car is capable we gave Jam Maker everything it had. Unfortunately, Jeremy was a tad too quick at the line and caught a red light. The car came out strong pulling a nasty power wheelie and crossing the line running 7.83 @ 194 MPH which made for some badass gear banging footage 💪Overall, it was a great weekend of racing. Worlds Quickest & Fastest GT350 1/4 Mile | 7.58 @ 187 MPH Fathouse Performance 2021-10-28 | NEW WORLD RECORD!!!After four years of research and development, trial and error, and overcoming every foreseeable challenge — one of the cars that started it all has done it again.2017: Tom entrusted us at Fathouse Fabrications to take his GT350 to the next level with one of the very first twin turbo packages.2018: Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords Magazine published a centerfold piece declaring Tom’s GT350 as the most powerful in the world at 1143 WHP — on the stock engine.2019: while still in full street trim, Fathouse owner, Jeremy Howell, took this vehicle on a 60 mile round trip track visit and managed to row the Shelby’s gears through an 8.6 second pass at 163mph.Despite being the undisputed record holder, Tom wanted to elevate the car to a seemingly unreachable territory - the 7 second barrier. Reaching this level required an amount of effort and dedication usually reserved for space tourism.Since 2019, we’ve substituted the manual gear box for a TH400 transmission while still retaining the factory voodoo flat plane crank. Thanks to optimized hardware and a continuously improved calibration by Corbin of Johnson Tuning, our Partner and Lead Technician, John Lucas, piloted the 1400R to a 7.58 second pass at 187mph.
