That makes 3 weeks now, and this one was from Christian Richardson for more Mario Galaxy, hope ya like it man!I also love this game and its soundtrack, and personally I think it's the best yet, although Odyssey was good, it just doesn't stick with me as much as this game did. Possibly because I'm older and my enjoyment for 3D platformers has gone down a bit. But I can't deny that the music in this game is the best, no excuses for that opinion. A lot of different ideas kept coming to me for this arrangement as I was making this, and in the end they all kinda mixed into this, which I think is pretty great and was a lot of fun to make! I always love putting strings into the mix; it really fills up the song, and for a grandeur piece like this, it was well needed. He absolutely loved Undertale.I still find myself in disbelief that he's now gone, and even shocked that the death of someone I never even came close to knowing personally could affect me even this much. He brought so much happiness to everyone who watched his streams, and he truly cared about his fans. While he was one of the absolute best entertainers I have ever seen, he always kept it real no matter what, and had inspiring things to say, and I wanted to include one of my favorite snippets of that at the end of this video. As a creator myself, I could see his care to detail and talent in making these videos and streams was incredible, and seeing how he was a person with so much passion and drive, it hurt all the more to seem him go so suddenly. It's definitely a lot shorter than I thought, but considering it's only chapter one it has a lot to offer, and I love the battle system now. Along side that, I loved the music even more. It's still very reminiscent of Undertale but still feels fresh, and this song shows that, so I wanted to give my version of it. :)This week was rough working on covers, mainly because I'm still getting used to working with my Helix, and I don't reamp anymore. But this game holds a special place in me, and it's still the game I have the most play time in. In the middle of making this one, I decided to actually make this my entry to Ro's cover contest, though I'm not even sure if it qualifies. Is this progressive? the world may never know, but it sure is something I don't do regularly. I'm a huge fan of Chon by the way, a lot of inspiration for this one came from them and i hope it shows lolAlso, you probably thought this would be the first objection theme everyone loves, but nope, it's my favorite objection theme. I think this game had the best music, even though it's a different composer I think. I just think the compositions for this game were much more technical but still very catchy, which I like. For only two days to work on this, I personally feel like this is one of my best works. I'm still working on my mastering and mixing skills, but this one turned out amazing in my head and as a final product, and I'm real happy about that. I also decided to bring back the Schecter, and I actually found out that it serves as a better rhythm guitar than my Ibanez, given the full scale and floating bridge honestly. I'm gonna go on a limb and say that this is the most fun I've had making a cover in awhile. I always try to at least reach that 2 min mark for a song, but unfortunately I now realize that takes away a lot of the creative goodness when force stretching a song. The balance I found in this cover was pretty good for me, and it was nice making a video I didn't stress about constantly.
