Another song from Joe Offer's collection, this one having been published in the BBC programme, "Singing Together" in the Autumn 1960 pamphlet.
I have chosen to pick out the tune as I accompany myself, because it is so like the melody of the song "Will Ye No Come Back Again", but I have shown the chords should you wish to strum along.
The footnotes with the song are as follows:

Not to be confused with Playford's "Once I loved a Maiden Fair", to which the words almost fit.
