Many people nowadays just turn regardless. Don't think it's illegal to turn when there's incoming cars on other lanes, but basic courtesy/common sense is that you wait till the coast is clear on ALL lanes. Situations like this is exactly why; could have caused accidents on other lanes.On top of this, in this case, riding on the shoulder is definitely illegal. Turns out, he claimed that I cut into his 2nd lane and I should have kept driving on the outermost 3rd lane. Delusional.Basic traffic rules when making turns is you always keep to the lane closest to your turn = left turn shall keep to left-most lane after turn (unless that lane becomes a turn-only lane after turn). Too much to remember? I-70S Main St Dump Truck Near Miss Accident venomh 2026-04-29 | Overdue video involving a near miss accident on 2024-8-9. A prior accident resulted in slowed traffic on the right/merge lane. Red dump truck didn't slow down in time and came in hot. When it finally realized the traffic up front, it tried to brake (and caused the truck to swerve right), it then swerved towards the left lane. POV car was able to swerve to the shoulder in the last seconds. The truck did, however, clipped the horse trailer/awning with its mirror. The rule is eeeasy: Cars coming on the left of the roundabout has the right of way.Driver of Ford Explorer (OH) HJR2321 saw the approaching POV car, but decided to go through the roundabout anyways rather than yielding. It's clear that both cars will arrive at the roundabout at around the same time, so Ford Explorer should have slowed and yielded.
