But I will do my best to let you know what he gets done! He usually only has a couple of good days between treatments... so I wouldn't expect it to go all that swiftly! cedric 12 Cedric the Cedar Bear 2015-02-16 | Just a quick one here as Dad is doing pretty good! I wanted to give a shout out to those nurses who seem to catch everything!! They noticed before they started giving Dad his drugs, that he wasn't who he was supposed to be in the chair he was in! When they process 40 people a day... noticing something like this is pretty big! Saves all kinds of headaches (and worse!). So when there is more to report (other than tomorrow he turns 60! Can you imagine that? I would have thought he should be taller... ) I will be back to fill you in!Bye nowCedric
cedric 11 Cedric the Cedar Bear 2015-02-06 | Just a little discussion about the goings on over the last couple of weeks. Hard to believe that the weeks go by so fast... and when you are down for most of a week on top of it... it really makes it go quick! At least that is the way Dad makes it sound! I feel for the guy but he has to do what he docs tell him to ... if he wants to get back out and doing what he wants! He went out a couple of days ago and pulled some nails out of some wood... totally exhausted for the rest of the day... and that wasn't even the project he had in mind! That was just getting ready to do a project! Pulling nails!! I am sure that as soon as it stops raining out there he will be back out and giving it another try! Funny you know... I try and tell him that he shouldn't be out doing stuff like that... but he just doesn't listen! Oh well... he will spend the next couple of days afterwards... in his chair! Complaining about how much he hurts! I might have to find some corks for my ears!Just a note here on the Marijuana cookies... they do an incredible job of cancelling out the nausea feelings and they work quickly. One cookie lasts for a few hours, depending on the size of the cookie... 2-4 hours I would say... and I think that is what happened to Dad... He had his cookie and then it came bedtime and he went... well the cookie wore off in the meantime ... so it might be a beneficial thing to set an alarm! Wake up and smell the cookies kind of thing! Dad says they don't make you stoned like you smoked it... just more of a calming soothing feeling... At least that is the way I was told... afraid that has no effect on my cedar system! Sort of goes in one pore and out the other! To all those of you out there looking after someone with cancer...You are doing a tough job and it may not pay much.... but in the long run you get to know this person better than you ever would have otherwise. Now they may make it.... and they may not... but the thing is that they have found a companion in you that has made their journey that much easier! Good Job!!! I know I have found out all kinds of stuff about Dad! And you know.... I think he feels the same about me!Thanks for watchingCedric

But I don't think that I have ever heard of a place that has so many cool trees in one spot... you wander around a forest and you will find one or two... here almost all of them were perfect... Day 1 as a bear A day in the garden Cedric the Cedar Bear 2014-09-01 | I got to go out today and see some of this world around me... everything sure is big! I got to meet a little dog by the name of Newton... he isn't any bigger than the cats back home here. I tried to get to the pears but they were just out of reach... it was only a couple of days later when one of my big cousins came through and cleaned the rest of the tree out completely!It was nice to smell the outside air after all the sawdust in the shop...
