I recently came across this friendly and couple who had no interest in going to the UK over the winter which is the norm although there are always some birds who get left behind. This was shot by the village Hrafnagil which wouldn't be there if it wasn't for the abundance of hot water in the griund around there and this pond was actually a riverbed until just recently when the highway trough the village was moved to make way for a new residential area, like you see best in the opening shot, so this old riverbank was planned as a landfill but i suspect that this natural pond might become the subject of ideas involving the local wildlife.
