I pretty much said everything I wanted to in the first 4 minutes, aside from maybe a little clarification to 1:40 : The first route was crafted to have a nice continuous flow, rather than just be runnable in real-time. At least for me, using other accounts often breaks the flow of a speedrun and can make it hard to recreate the run.
Some waves could definitely be solved better (especially 54 & 55), but this worked for me. I really recommend you to try a run of either route if you are curious.
Some ideas to explore if you want to improve the routes:
- Training all 16 levels of mining through tick manipulation while doing combat (like i did for the last level)
- Bringing poisoned bolts or a dagger to the fight caves (temple spiders drop weapon poison(+)
- Compare DPS calculations to see what is the true optimal ranged level to enter the fight caves
- Using amulet of accuracy and a leather body instead of the holy symbol and monk's robe top.
The plugin that shows the in-game time (top middle) isn't always in sync, but most of the time it's correct.

This is a speedrun for the new category for Genshin Impact where you simply have to talk to the two Katheryne npcs in the towns of Mondstadt and Liyue ( speedrun.com/gi#Katheryne_to_Katheryne ). Timing starts when the UI becomes visible after the first chat, and ends when UI disappears at the start of the second chat.
- ALL BEST POSSIBLE TIMES ARE NOW 3 TICKS SLOWER. With the release of Group Ironman on October 6th, 2021, the possibility to skip the dialogue with the Magic Instructor about becoming an ironman was removed. Now, even if you tell the Gielinor Guide that you are a brand new player, you will still get asked if you want to become an ironman. None of the current world records are unbeatable however, even though it is obviously harder to beat them.
- As of March 17th 2022, using RuneLite (without external/plugin hub plugins) is allowed on the speedrun.com leaderboards.
- Multilogging RNG can be reduced further by having a plugin on the rat accounts that keeps track of the rats' HP regeneration. HP regeneration happens every 1 minute, and the timer is paused on death (so it's unique for each rat). Knowing the time would allow you to start the run so that the regeneration tick happens when it doesn't matter. (thanks to GeChallengeM for this note)

Pretty much the same as 100% run, but you can skip 2 of the slowest levels for each 10 level set and all of levels 91-99. A couple seconds should be pretty doable to save without changing the route.
I thought this game was an easy WR: Just had to memorize 100 stages. Boy I was wrong. The game has a bug where it gets input locked every couple seconds for a brief moment. During this input lock, new input isn't registered and old input is held. On the emulator, the frame counter text at the top left is red during this period. This bug makes it extremely hard to finish a full run without having to restart a single stage.

I changed the "Blurite Sword" segment to "Cabbage in the Hole" but forgot to rename it. The segment ends when the cabbage is dropped at the Black Knights' Fortress.
Most significant time losses:
- Had to hop a couple extra times in the 3rd segment
- The cooking part in Port Sarim took like a minute longer than normally
- Could be much more efficient with the mine casting in Barbarian Village
- Burned the redberry pie (as always), so I had to spend over a minute making a new one
- Wasted ~30s trying to mine extra coal because I didn't realize I already had enough
- Forgot to withdraw flour from bank for the Prince Ali Rescue part in Draynor Village so I had to go back and get it
- Accidentally bought too many runes before Melzar's maze meaning that I had to hop to another world and sell back some of the runes so I could afford the ship and map piece
- Elvarg fight could definitely be faster even though it was a bit better than average
Something like 3:0X should be doable with this route.
All in all, low 3:5X time should be achievable comfortably using this route with decent RNG and very good execution.
Most significant time losses:
- Tutorial Island rats took forever
- The cooking part in Port Sarim took longer than normally
- Count Draynor fight and safespot setup took long, which also caused me to be low on hp so I had to pick and eat some cabbages for emergency food
- Could always be more efficient with the tick manipulation training
- The minigame teleport at 2:17:40 wasn't off cooldown yet so I lost 35 seconds to that. Minigame teleport cooldown can be anywhere from 19 to 20 minutes based on real world time when you finished casting the teleport last time. This time it was 19 minutes and 57 seconds...
- Someone else was hopping iron bars in the wilderness too. Lost at least 1-2 minutes because I had to hop extra times.
- For some reason I didn't get the 2k gp from the first floor of Stronghold of Security. This threw me off and I made some mistakes while trying to think of what to do. Due to this mistake, I wasn't able to buy as much runes so I tried to conserve the runes as much as possible too.
- As always, Elvarg is massively dependent on RNG. Multiple minutes could be saved there.

Probably like ~5 seconds lost to mistakes. The RNG was mediocre at the start but really came through in the end!

Lost ticks that I'm aware of:
RNG:
- 1 tick after the 2nd interaction with Survival Expert. She was a bit too far so I had to walk for 1 more tick after that.
- 1 tick at Master Chef due to his position.
- 1 tick at Quest Guide due to his position.
- 1 tick at Mining Instructor due to his position on the 1st interaction.
- 2 ticks at Mining Instructor due to his position on the 2nd interaction.
- 2 ticks at Combat Instructor due to his position on the 2nd interaction.
- 1 tick at Account Guide due to his position.
- 1 tick at Magic Instructor due to his position.
My mistakes:
- 1 tick when cooking bread. Misclicked the range so I didn't get "fast bread" (combining flour and water on the same tick as clicking the range).
- like 2-3 ticks right after the 2nd interaction with Combat Instructor for not attacking a rat from further away and running closer to the ladder for the last shot.
Segmented runs are time consuming, so I only did one run without really planning ahead. In the end the only thing I came to regret was committing to bloody patch early in the run. I ended up not using it outside the final battle, so I could have just got it in Yggdrasil without wasting any time.
The route is somewhat same as the old WR, but I've made small improvements and also adapted some strategies based on other runs. The most important difference imo is that I save before getting Zunde. It's not a huge loss if I get him on the first try, but allows the run to continue even if I don't (costs about 30 seconds/load). This time I got lucky and got him on the first try.
The RNG overall was very good (got the necessary stuff like Zunde, dragon rib, etc) but there were some minor unlucky things (like not getting a bloody patch). I made some obvious mistakes: multiple small scale mistakes like missing photon switches, but also lost like a minute in the last segment alone (for example failed vampire skip and played too safe in the final battle). Some time was also lost due to the slowdowns in the emulator in the two maps near the Wyvern boss (and a couple other places too).

Problems with this run:
- Accidentally bought way too many mind runes (you need 1 for every 2 air runes) and didn't have as much coins left as I should have, so i made an extra trip to steel platelegs at 3:04:10 costing me maybe 5 minutes including the time it took to sell all the stuff at Edgeville general store.
- Realized that it would be better to leave the Blue Moon Inn and Thessalia parts of Varrock for the trip after the dwarfs (small difference though).
- Accidentally died while getting the blurite ore at 1:39:20, so i had to go there later to get it and walk back at 1:51:20.
- Forgot to drop the cabbage in the cauldron at first at black knights' fortress since I was so excited about the steel bar drop.
- Was close to dying multiple times at black knights, so I had to go back and forth around the cliff.
- Didn't get law rune drop from black knights, so i didn't save the 10k from the telegrab and couldn't use any teleports.
- Forgot to buy earth runes from Betty before Melzar's maze, so I had to do a small detour there before going to Elvarg.
- I should have taken the extra wizard's mind bomb to Elvarg to cast fire bolt instead of earth bolt anyway.
- Elvarg fight had horrible RNG (took me 10 minutes more than on my previous run, which was with fire bolt though).
- The extra steel platelegs trip took so much time, it allowed me to use clan wars teleport for run energy at 3:26:40, but honestly that was a bad call since with a faster Elvarg fight, I wouldn't have been able to use it there.
All in all, without mistakes like that and a bit better RNG for the law runes and faster Elvarg, about 3 hours 30 minutes would be a reasonable target time.
Main problems with this run:
- Collected 1 iron bar too little, forcing me to go back for that later in the run and wasting a clan wars teleport.
- Had to make an extra trip to cooking range and fishing shop at 1:05:55 because I burned so may sardines before that.
- Accidentally died before looting the grave at around 1:30:00, making Death claim the tin and copper, which I realized at 1:34:10 and made an extra trip to death's office. In retrospect, i should have just left them there until after Draynor Manor and made the bar in al kharid.
- Forgot to talk to squire at 1:55:50, forcing me to come back for him after trying to get the picture from sir Vyvin's cupboard.
- I was extremely unlucky with the last steel bar, taking over 20 minutes more than it should have. but that's just RNG...
There were of course dozens of smaller mistakes, losing anywhere from 1 tick to a couple of seconds.
New PB/WR. The run is 8 game ticks from theoretical optimal time as far as I know. One tick was lost at the Mining Instructor due to suboptimal position on the 2nd interaction, and another tick was intentionally lost to Combat Instructor's position on the 1st interaction to avoid huge RNG factor for having him to walk to the correct spot for the 2nd interaction. 4 ticks were lost to a method I didn't realize existed: In cases where you have to talk to NPC, click an icon, and talk to them again, it is possible to end the first conversation 1 tick earlier and run while clicking the icon and talking to again, saving 1 tick per NPC. There are 5 NPCs where this is possible. Also one tick could be saved when cooking the bread by clicking the range on the same tick as combining the water and flour, but executing that is extremely hard and not reliable on a WR run.
Going by in-game ticks (0.6s), the actual time spent on Tutorial Island after the character creation screen was 281 ticks = 2 minutes and 48.6 seconds. Theoretical best is 273 ticks (I think).
About 0.3 seconds was lost in total to world lag (ticks being slightly longer on the server than the supposed 0.6s), resulting in the splits after the 1st one to not be divisible by 0.6s. The timer is stopped when the "Loading - please wait" box appears in the top left corner, since that marks the start of the tick when your character actually arrives at the mainland. If counting the time until the area is loaded and the character is shown in Lumbridge, the floored time in real time becomes 2:49.
All in all, I'm pretty sure this isn't the fastest route, but I wanted to see how much potential Vampire Slayer had for this.
The actual time spent in Tutorial island was 2:53.4 (289 game ticks). I started and ended the timer ~0.1 seconds late, and the loading time between Tutorial Island and Mainland is ~0.2 seconds.
